I wouldn't expect too much out of it, though at least it'll probably be more interesting than a pachinko machine.

Color me intrigued, lets see where they decide to take this.
If its a series based more on the manga structure, PLEASE take care that its at least better than Sailor Moon Crystal...

This is also Toei property right? Anime remake?
*looks at Sailor Moon Crystal and Digimon tri.*
Ahahahaha how about no.

The original was by Madhouse, though if this ends up being an anime reboot then there's no guarantee that they will get it again.

If its a series that exactly adapts the manga and its produced by Madhouse, OK more power to you, but the series we got now from the late 90s still holds up with the changes made still keeping in the spirit to what CLAMP made with the manga.

Loving Sailor Moon Crystal, so wouldn't mind if they do a remake for this one. Just depends on how they want to go about it. A more older audience take or take one with the usual demographics.

I love the manga, but I've never seen the anime. So I would love to see a remake or a reboot. It's a great series that can be easily updated and remade I should think.

Bet it's a stage play, seems to be a lot of those lately.
I don't feel it needs a remake, I can't think of a single thing I would change about the original series, even its animation still holds up very well, and I felt the changes they made from manga to anime just improved the story, like downgrading the student-teacher relationship to a one way schoolgirl crush. The former was just gross. You're thirty and she's like, ten dude.

Agreed. A more faithful reboot would almost be superfluous. Nanase Ohkawa already wrote the scripts for the original series. She literally is CLAMP. How much more faithful can you get?
The anime changed a lot, but unlike with Sailor Moon, it's hard to argue that the original creators' vision was compromised.

In the article:
Quote: | The same issue also announced that Rin Miasa (Usotsuki Ōji to Nisemono Kanojo, Goshimei Arigatou Gozaimasu!) will begin publishing a new manga titled Dōkyūsei ni Koi o Shita in Nakayoshi's April issue. |
Does this mean that this new manga will be related to Cardcaptor Sakura?
In any case I will be interested to see what the "new project" is.

I recall there being a magazine article awhile back that said the director of the old anime wanted to do something with CCS again. That, along with the announcement of old episode re-airing has me thinking (and hoping) it could be a sequel. Honestly, the old anime is near perfect, and doesn't really warrant a remake.

I love CCS, but I don't know that I really want a sequel. I remember being so excited for Tsubasa when it came out, but older Sakura and Shaoran just didn't have the same charm. Maybe it would work if it took place in middle school, like the manga epilogue showed.
Not that it matters anyway, since it's almost certainly a pachinko machine.
