loved this dub of this series. i've never seen any other dub with so much colour and personality with surprisingly solid writing.

That was not just infamous but an ultra notoriously bad dub... It's one of the reason why I mostly avoid dubsh*ts... But well, it's good to see they've also included the japanese counterpart. Very Happy

The English dub was the only thing that made the show worth watching even. Otherwise it was just a mediocre kids show.

IMO the main issue is that the dub has a lot of dated or inside jokes that fall flat if you haven't brushed up on your '00s pop culture.

The original is a mediocre children's anime with horrible animation.

The dubbed version is the epitome of edgy mid-2000's comedy hilarity.

Some dubs are better than the original VAs, and vice versa. Japanese voices don't automatically equal a superior product. Never have, never will.

Love the dub of this show. This would have been an official "abridged" series if it was done now. Only downside is that some stuff is dated now, but other than that, hilarious. Very Happy

I remember this series when it was released some years ago. I may have to check it out one of these days.

You are entitled to your opinion but to say that dubbed anime is crap is where I don't respect said opinion. Could you (Saku-dono) ever say the same about Japanese dubs overall? Good and bad acting exists in every language.

Also, for those complaining about the re-write, other than the Japanese version available, it's important to remember that the Japanese told ADV to do what they felt would have the series sell. This is because It wasn't selling well in Japan. To me, such actions means that they "begged" ADV.

Am I seeing a fallout joke here? Very Happy

Anyway with the ghost stories dub I do appreciate a good laugh so this will put me over quite a bit until I find something else. Hell, if I wasn't introduced to the dub in my gaming club I would never have found this.....

If not for the dub, few would have heard of this show, and none would remember it.

Damn I love this show! The dub, of course, the sub version isn't worth looking at unless you like bland children's shows. This show had me crying with laughter the first time I watched it.

This is one of the very VERY few shows I enjoyed the dub more than the sub, simply because no one bothered to even try; this along with TWHE
