Totally hyped for this game. The more stuff they reveal, the more I want it.

I got a kick out of how Tharja's name was spelled as "Sallya" in the video.

From what I heard this game would disappoint fans of both series. It doesn't seem to resemble FE or SMT mechanics but perhaps that's just a surface impression. Without actually playing the game I couldn't say.

Only the hardliners who were expecting it be a proper crossover featuring characters from the main SMT games and specific characters from Fire Emblem who haven't played the game yet.

The gameplay is somewhat similar to Persona's with the game's version of Persona's being based off of Fire Emblem characters

Except if you've ever dealt with the SMT franchise before, the games in that series vary wildly between sub-series. Furthermore, the mechanics are indeed there, such as the weapons triangle, the way weaknesses work, the fact that the characters rely on otherworldly figures to provide their powers, the setting of Tokyo, Social Links, etc, etc. The DNA is there, it's just not overt because they wanted to give the game an identity beyond a generic crossover.
As for the videos, was quite surprised at Tharja being Kiria's partner due to Kiria's battle mode not resembling Tharja in the least. I can only imagine what their banter is going to be like.

It's the type of game you normally see in Sony's systems. Seeing it on a Nintendo console is quite a treat!

Earlier I was very sure that the mirage form was related to Lyndis. But since the thing is only Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light and Awakening, she doesn't look like a Tharja form for me.

That is her Japanese name, after all.
I'm getting sick of Tharja, how many times can they remake her before the appeal wears off for the fanbase?

Not ot leave topic, but how did we miss ELF closing on October 16th after 27 years? They practically invented the dating sim.
