Educate me properly, Gomi-san Not gonna lie, but the pink shirt just kills it for me. Gomi-san looks like the long lost, failed addition to Starish from UtaPri. All he needs are some bad CG dance moves. |

I wonder if the "Garbage Fairy" would be a distant relative of the "Curry Fairy" (otherwise known as Hosaka from Minami-ke)?
The Garbage Fairy should randomly unbutton his shirt so I can know for certain that he's a member of the Hosaka family. |

I wonder how Gomi no Yōsei maintains a pristine appearance despite living around refuse?
Perhaps Gomi-san's presence will motivate people to be more careful of where they dispose of their trash? |

Something else occurred to me... white suit, hangs around garbage.
He's actually "the Man from Glad"! |

I was going to post Jonathan Winters' "gar-bahhge"-man from the 70's Hefty commercials, but couldn't find a good enough clip. |

That skit from "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" about mascots is really hitting home.

Coincidentally, it took me a while to find a Man from Glad commercial that specifically deals with garbage bags. Here's a kinescope of a 1970s commercial where the Man from Glad comes flying in on an awesome sky boat, but it's for Glad-Wrap, not garbage bags. |
