We've all heard of Megatokyo right, if you haven't, check out their site: www.megatokyo.com. But, I've got a question about this. Is Megatokyo American made? Because I remember finding it in the Encyclopedia, and I wasn't sure if it was or wasn't.

It's American made, it just has the Manga style.

Conceived, created, and completely by an American. One of the better American manga efforts, in my opinion. Another great one is Micheal Poe, known for Exploitation Now and Errant Story.... edit: fixed link |

Dark Horse is going to be publishing Megatokyo. I think Vol. 1 is coming out in January.
Will this make my Ironcat version a collector's item? |

Well, if the first one becomes a collector's item, good news for me. And Craeyst-sama said I should wait until the Darkhorse one came out. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Ironcat did not go under. They've had some problems, but they look like they're on the steady path to recovery right now. ANN should eventually be posting some sort of final report on that situation.... As for Fred & Ironcat, things didn't work out for reasons somewhat related and somewhat seperate to the other problems Ironcat was having. Fred negotiated a friendly seperation from Ironcat with the Bennets. End of story. |

True... but when that much of your staff up and leaves, it's a heck of a stigma to come back from... it's yet to be seen if they will or not. |

I really like the series, and I hope its a sign that there will be more manga artists as good as him.
I wonder what the printed version looks like, since its done in pencil and has a lot of grey. Anyway, it aldo does break away from typical manga art with the fact it is pencil, and so on. I cant wait for the next volume to come. Also, he was doing another series for Ironcat's mangazine, but stopped. |

Warmth. I really hope he puts this one on a website somewhere eventually, because that IronCat thing was nowhere to be found around here, and the way Fred talked about it made me really want to read it. ![]() |

From a rant that Fred posted not too long ago, he said that Warmth will find its way to the Web sometime around Christmas. He just wanted to finish up MT Book 2 first, though. |

*rejoices*
![]() I'd fetch the Hallelujah choir, but they're busy in that "Lupin III comes back to Adult Swim" thread. |

The best web comic has got to be Teen Girl Squad!

I love Megatokyo and it's probably my favorite webcomic. I think that other American artists should try and make manga-style comics and do it as well as Fred does.
