Episode 4:
Aww, the table scene was cute. Kou coming to the defense of his "girlfriend" too was something to take notice of. I think the show is fleshing out all the main characters now since even Shuuko got some spotlight. And based on this episode, it's pretty obvious that she has feelings for Tanaka. There might be flashbacks of the reason soon since Futaba's flashbacks were shown with her crush on Kou.
Anyways yeah, I liked the episode.
Yuuri went yandere for cupcakes this episode as well lmao

Calling it now: Yuuri&cupcakesOTP! Favorite gag in the episode!
I tried to watch this right after it was released, and the subs wouldn't show up via Roku. When I went on Twitter to report the problem to CR and see if anyone else was having subs issues, I was spoiled with screencaps of Kou half naked. Fans reacted very well to that scene!
So Kou has the gift of BS. Man, I was jealous of people who could do that when I was in school--the kids who could come up with the perfect essay on a dime and write exactly what the teacher wanted. The kid I lost a class debate to, who admitted to me that he hadn't researched the topic as much as I had, but as long as you *sound like you know what you're talking about* and you *appear confident* you can win! The people who don't care, which makes it easier to make you think that they care because they know exactly how to manipulate a response. Natural politicians, lawyers, and the like. It is a gift, Kou! Once your teen angst settles into adult melancholy being able to BS will serve you well in a job. Even a relationship, athough that's not the best type of relationship to build.
Taking about relationships, Kou and Futaba were especially sweet and affectionate, but I guess it's too early in the show's run for them to be honest with themselves and admit their obvious, mutual attraction. *sigh*. As for Marao, I'm glad Tanaka-sensei is establishing strict boundaries with her. Let it stay that way!
Good episode overall. That comic running late montage in the beginning was so relatable!

Yes, the Yuri cupcake rage was adorable. I'm kind of surprised that Futaba didn't offer her hers but maybe the yandere atmosphere overwhelmed her.
I feel for Cupcake Thief. Not only does he have the hots for Emotionally Cold Girl but she has the hots for Teacher. Good luck with that one, mate. (That's assuming he even survives Yuri's revenge, of course.)

*shifty eyes* Yeah, people like that are terrible. *nervous laughter and then jumps out window*
You know, I can totally relate to some of this, I might have cared a bit more about studying than my classmates, but I am totally the sort of guy that slacks and then pulled something out of my ass that is relatively good. Even once d\wrote a public speaking speech in the last minute and got told I did reasonably well, all I had to do was focus on how I presented it. In that way I can kind of relate to how this pairing might be, I was kind of good at maths without trying, and I often got praised by a girl who would try really hard. I ended up feeling super guilty about being praised, as to me just like with Kou, I felt it much more impressive being able to try that hard, kind of made me feel like not worthy to stand next to. Kou, don't repeat my mistakes! The mild put downs are just a mask to hide the inferiority complex.
Yuuri getting so angry about a cupcake was awesome. And did I just hear a Japanese guy beat box/rap in the preview? Also figures, only in shoujo can a guy be totally rude and suddenly call the girl his girlfriend to save her from guys, and come across as super romantic.
The table scene was nice.

Episode 5:
I sure hope Futaba steps up her A-Game a bit here because she's got some competition now. And by that, I do mean cute competition with Yuuri. The flag was triggered at the rivers...
Good to know the group is together though especially with Shuuko.

Orientation time!
Kou's face when tasting that juice ROFL
They are finally trying to function as a team.
It was nice to see them all so into it ^^
Futaba was feeling kinda left out..
Yuuri was totally hopeless when it come to crossing the river.
Futaba messed up her ankle.
Kou offering to piggyback her was sweet ^^
She really enjoyed that part <3
Also, they were walking around aimlessly looking for that lake..
Took them a while to find it too.
Still, they all had a good time & that was the whole point.
Futaba borrowing Kou's jacket for the sunrise viewing... awwww
The cat thing showed us Kou's other side.
Yuuri vs Futaba over Kou, damn.
Another sweet & fun episode with less Kou's moody behavior.

I like this show, and I'm getting attached to these kids (I like genki Kuminato best), so I'm a tad disappointed that they're going a bit predictable, if not cliche with Yuuri falling for Kou. Knew she would from the river scene. A bit surprised that it was revealed by the end of the episode. But I trust the show and the characters enough that it won't devolve into friends fighting over a boy. They've spent time developing both female characters, and their friendship, so neither will be a witchy rival to the other. We'll just see how the drama plays out.

Episode 5
As a former member of Scouts, with experience orienteering (even in the dark), I can't help but think of the characters as rather foolish for allowing themselves to be lost in a forest. If you can help it you should never go off track, we used to call it "bush bashing", and I can recall some tales where what was thought to be a quick shortcut became an almost blind walk through the bush. And word from the wise, don't just follow another team, you will end up going in circles around a big cow field.
Wait, I was meant to be commenting on the romance and junk right? Well it was good, I actually rather like Kou. Friendship parts are nice too.

These kids are all so cute, I can't root against anybody! Kou still has some jerky moments, and somber girl needs to smile once in a while, but otherwise they're all likable.

Although they were supposed to be orienteering, they don't seem to have been given any instruction on reading maps, or even a compass! But I don't think the area was supposed to be all that wilderness-y, just more like a park with lots of hiking trails. Which kind of makes getting lost even stupider.

Pretending everything was OK to Yuuri was such a lie.
Futaba was totally in denial..
Yuuri was just too obvious about her feelings for Kou.
She was also full of all kinds of questions about him.
Kou certainly didn't appreciate Futaba's acting.
Futaba really enjoyed her alone time with Kou.
She is thinking about other people's feelings too much.
For once, her own happiness should come in first.
The truth will come out eventually & Yuuri will get hurt anyway.
Kou obviously shares Futaba's feelings..
Looks like love is stronger than friendship.
At least she was honest with herself.

Episode 6:
Yuuri is silly in this show. If she likes Kou so much, then try to find more opportunities... Anyways, the latest episode was cute but felt slow. I'm more interested in seeing Shuuko's side of her story with Tanaka-sensei. Every episode gives a little hint.
I think Kominato might of friend-zoned himself this episode btw.

Episode 6
Yuuri in love is pretty cute, but Futaba should not lie about her own interest, clearly Yuri won't make her pick, she even asked. Also, I noticed that Yuuri's bag is a rabbit, maybe not quite right for a high schooler, but I kind of like her honesty in her being who she is. The characters are good, have to say I laughed at the part about the porn books.
Kou clearly likes Futaba, she is just as bad in teasing him. At least Futaba has already made the decision without having to go through episodes fighting her own feelings, well there probably will be some still but the first step has been taken.
