Welp and I just finished reading volume 17 about two days ago. I wonder what this will be about.

The last 2 unaired episodes were amazing (episode 14 especially) so this should be the same. Cannot wait for it.

I've never heard of "DX.1"
Is this a spin-off of the main light novel series? Is this OVA based on that or a sequel to the previous 2 OVAs (which occur between seasons 1 & 2)? |

Must have some really heavy stuff in it for to have remained unaired and also not included with the blu ray volume releases cant wait to see it.

YES! The name doesn't ring a bell so I don't *think* that it's one of the side-stories but I could be wrong. I just finished reading Volume 17 yesterday and the series has remained solid all the way through; I'm glad to know that the series is still moving full-steam ahead with what will either be Volume 19 or 20 in March.
Somewhat off topic: I hope that the side stories (and any of the main-chapters that aren't exactly plot necessary) get OVA releases instead of being completely left from getting anime adaptions. The anime has, in my opinion, done a great job adapting the light novels, and I hope that more seasons continue to be made and continue to be successful. |

So there's going be a Season 3 & an OVA next year. Guess they're really trying to milk it for all the money they can make.

Considering this is the only series that TNK has ever produced that brought them any profit, there is no reason why they should not, All of there other works were flops when compared to this series and the latest new show from them Blade Dance does not seem to be populer enough either.
i dont think they have a choice this show is the only thing that is keeping the from going down under. |

If it's not a side story/flashback episode, it's likely an even more extreme fan service episode because it's somewhat of a trend that an LN/manga being bundled with an episode that is very risque.

How is this considered milking exactly? Milking is Street Fighter being released in a marginally upgraded version for full price. Its a company releasing a compilation movie of an anime with maybe one new scene. Funimation saying a show will be only released on dvd, and then saying psych one year later here it is on blu ray when everyone already bought the dvd version. High School DxD releasing an OVA is not milking anything. |
