Can no one get enough of the penguins? Rintaro and a 12 millions dollar budget, that sounds pretty good to me. Madhouse has a crazy work schedule this past few years I can't believe there taking on more. I guess ya got to keep the machine running.

How many penguin movies do we need? March of the Penguins and Happy Feet and that new one coming out. What is with the penguin craze of '06-'07? Tinfoil hat time. |

I don't get the whole penguin craze, I honestly just don't find them all that interesting...now Dolphins that a different story. |

Dolphins are awesome because, if you're drowning, apparently... there are some dolphins that'll try to kill you. And, there are some dolphins that'll actually lead you away from land and then leave you stranded in the middle of the ocean... That's what I hear, anyway. |

Blasphemy! Penguins are the most noble of nature's creatures! Such beauty and nobility! Such perseverance and heart! They are tuxedoed saints! |

Oh yeah, I'll concede that penguins dress well...
I mean, after all... Doplphins just look like balloons you'd use to make animal balloons. |

Dolphins are often times known to murder their own species there one of a select few species that will do this.....the other one being us .
Penguins would be down with the possum if they didn't have their tuxes, hopefully Rinataro will strip them of their clothes and show their true colors.
Don't tell me your some sort of sympathetic Dino lover as well.... That's what they want you to think, that there extinct only to come back from space after years of planning. |

I think that penguins are cute and appealing animals. I love the opening for Idolmaster Xenoglossia. The opening has penguins in it and is really cute. Main character Haruka Amami's favorite animal is the penguin as evidenced by her penguin cell-phone and penguin underwear. Also, Haruka's friend Yayoi Takatsuki even cosplays as a penguin. I think that penguins are popular because of their cuteness factor. However, I do think that any penguin movie released after Happy Feet is overkill as there is only so much that you can do.

WTH? March of the Penguins was good, Happy Feet was awful (and it's success was likely a fluke), and Surf's Up looks even more horrible and I doubt it's going to do well.
I can't believe a Japanese company is jumping on this bandwagon too. |
