I'm praying that they'll release an uncut version for the true fans...

As hopeful as I was when I first glanced at the title, the article reads like the license has no hold on the anime itself, only merchandise. One one hand, it's a little disappointing; On the other hand, my fingers are crossed from Doraemon plushies.

Maybe one day someone will do an entire uncut boxset of all of it.
one day . . . when all of that other niche-within-niche stuff we want gets released

And remember folks, that's VIZ, not Disney.
Confusion like that happens all the time, on fan-board threads.
(Clever tagline on the license ad, but couldn't his first appearance to US licensors in the ads NOT look like he had just been caught farting?)

I like how the poster says "From 22nd Century Japan to 21st Century America."
Maybe they calmed my worries a little.

I'm excited! I hope I can buy a Doraemon plush toy someday. He's so cute!

The Licensing Expo is actually in June, not July.

Or else, this fall we could have school notebooks with the cat gracing their covers.

I would like to see those plush dolls at Toys "R" Us, Walmart, Target, and Barnes & Noble. I would also like to see them at Disney Store if possible (but we know that's not going to happen, despite Disney XD airing the show here in the States).
