English title sounds like a long instructional manual for something very, very boring...
Was hoping to add this to my collection as I really like Brain's Base, and especially their adaptations, but since it's a Sentai release chances of that are slim... If I can find it for cheap & the subs aren't too derpy I may get it... |

Sentai has been known to choose some pretty bad titles for localization. This one in particular seems like they took a bit too much creative freedom and doesn't appropriately convey the original meaning. Oh well, I'll just ignore the English title.
Also, since Sentai licensed this it's likely Crunchyroll will stream it, which is good to hear. |

A lot of English titles are actually chosen by the Japanese license holders. This one was included in the Spotlight guide, whose information we get from the Japanese companies. In other words, I doubt Sentai picked the wordy title. |

Hmm, you're probably right. I just saw a trend and assumed Sentai was the one to blame. I suppose that's why Akuma no Riddle got a really awkward title like Riddle Story of Devil. I guess I can't point the finger at anybody, but I still think titles like this are very poor and change the intended meaning to something else entirely.

There are a couple of examples where the title is changed again when the DVD/Blu-ray is released, so it could become something else. Most recent example I can think of is Maoyū Maō Yūsha streaming under the title MAOYU and then becoming Maoyu - Archenemy & Hero for home video release. |

This is a bit closer to the truth of it. There is nothing you see in an R1 version of an anime that didn't go through the endless licensor approval process. |

The only bad English title I can think of that I could blame Sentai for is "Love, Chunibyo, and Other Delusions"... which is still miles better than the original English title: Regardless of My Adolescent Delusions of Grandeur, I Want a Date!
