This is the first time seeing a Idolmaster game where the idols are male. I'm sure that would sell out amongst the female audiences.

It sure is. I would definitely buy it. Though I'm pretty much bummed that will be only available in Android. Though prefer on consoles (in PS3 or PSP)
I hope it would be something like The Idolm@ster 2, I meant the game play. You know, that will definitely interesting.

If this sells well enough, we might eventually see a console release with the male idols. Be prepared, though, IdolMaster will eat ALL your money!

Yeah, the DLC is madness for the console/handheld games and even worse for these mobile titles, Bandai-Namco needs to learn to implement more free DLC with this franchise because I don't have this problem with the other games I play like Gundam.
I doubt the male idols will be in a console game as producible idols, the male fanbase mostly hate them with a passion but attitudes could change. I do like the newer male idols shown than Jupiter since they are manly and awesome.

It'd have to be like this - as it's own stand-alone product. Too many people would be irritated by a single IdolM@ster title with both male and female idols.

Yep, an Idolmaster SideM Vita or PS4 game would be the best possible idea, the only thing I'd be concerned with a standalone male Idolmaster title is sales, could it sell about the same or more than the main Idolmaster games much less over 100k like Idolmaster SP did on the PSP. It could sell if there is a decent amount of the male fanbase buying the game.

I'm surprised this wasn't done sooner. It's practically a license to print money.

It's a social trading-card game. These kinds of games just aren't meant to be released on consoles, since they're based on real time and are related to spending real money every time you want to play it (well, play it without being restricted on most of the "game" features or items you supposedly "earn"--otherwise, playing the basics without any strong cards or anything is free).

I wish I knew Japanese! Of course then again it sounds like it's going to have waaaaay too many microtransactions anyway. I can never bring myself to pay a bunch of money to make a game actually work, I'd rather just spend $60 on a PC or console game.

Well, I've played a bit of Cinderella Girls (a 2-year-old idolmaster social card game) and it's certainly playable. But unless I registered with a Japanese cell phone (which I wasn't doing, even when I was in Japan), even though it would still be free, I couldn't get more than a few pre-selected "rare" cards and most of the "normal" cards. Meanwhile, everyone had "super rare" cards, so I wasn't getting anywhere with the actual competitive part of the game without registering or even paying...
