Aw...well congrats to the author, I can't say that was what got my vote but... yeah.
At least El Viento Del Norte won something.

Sweet, I thought The Team Before Daybreak was the most well made, and El Viento Del Norte was the most suited to being an ongoing series. (Not saying any of them are going to be ongoing.)
I also liked Boom, but the rest were all pretty stale.

I voted for El Viento Del Norte, but I liked The Team Before Daybreak a lot, too. Vampires are a bit overdone as are Westerns, but the stories were well told and felt like they could become ongoing shonen manga.
Sweat Man and Golden Rabbit were both adorable and put me in mind of long-running shonen titles, although GR felt like it was geared toward the younger end of the demographic.
Boom!'s fanservice put me off it immediately. It just seemed mean-spirited, and the lesbian caricature character made it worse.
Morning Star was confusing and the ending seemed like a nonsequiter.

I'd love to see El Viento become an ongoing series. But until then look forward to downloading the one shot next week in WSJ!

I'm glad I decided to check ANN today or I wouldn't have known. So glad it won!

Ahh nice, nice. I can't quite recall which I voted in the end, but Daybreak and Morning Star were my two top picks, standing head and shoulders above the rest. Too bad I can't remember what El Viento was about, even after seeing the art on the article.
The bottom two were clearly Boom and Sweat Man.

my best to worst
1.Boom
2.El Viento
3.Sweat man
4.Morning Star
5.Daybreak
6.Golden Rabbit
so congrats to El Viento's mangaka
Daybreak... i really thought it was generic vampire rubbish, that has been done a lot before(meaning vampire in the war...), but then again, that's for westerners, asian territories probably don't get that many of those stories....(still think it was kinda bad)
