Thanks for the help guys, I'm going to be starting the in-school radio program next week. Very Happy

I plan to offer Rap, Hip-Hop, R&B, Reggae, Soca, J-Rock and J-Pop in terms of genre flexibility Very Happy

Good luck with that. It's good to have another soldier for the J-VOLUTION Very Happy. Let me know if you decide to post the show online.

If you want some good J-METAL, then I have two suggestions: first you have Electric Eel Shock, whose two current albums "Go USA" and "Beat Me" are too good for words. The second one is BORIS. I just bought their album "Pink" and it's really good (all their CDs are out in the states). Plus they just got a great mention in the Rolling Stone Magazine (the recent one with the Iggy Pop interview).

Thanks.

I'm not sure about having the radio show online since all I really do is play a couple songs in the morning Laughing I'm a bit nervouse as to how it will be recieved among my high school. Some may enjoy it, some may hate it, some may just dismiss it due to the language and say things like "How can anyone listen to this when you can't even understand what he hell they're saying?"

I really do hate that

I have D-tecnolife already, I believe I noted that in the first post.

I have no problems with female artists. As I've noted some in previous posts.

I've only heard "Ride on Shooting Star" thus far from The Pillows and FLCL, it wasn't that great for me.

Great News Very Happy I started the radio program this morning at my school Very Happy Hopefully I can get the rest of the week as well. Today I started with my "urban" block if you want to call it that since it includes rap, hip-hop, R&B, Soca and Reggae.

Today I played:

"Make it Rain" by Fat Joe feat. lil Wayne - rap/hip-hop
"This is Why i'm Hot" by MIMS - p/hip-hop
"One More Time" by Machel Montano - soca

Tomorrow I plan to play my Japanese block Very Happy

"Ready Steady Go" by L'Arc~en~Ciel - how appropriate to start the day Laughing
"Tobira no Mukou e" by YeLLOW Generation
"Sanctuary" by Nami Tamaki

If I get the rest of the week I'll be playing "Season's Call" by Hyde, "Colors of the Heart" by UVERworld and "Unlimited" by Nanase Aikawa. I can't wait Very Happy

Additionally I'm looking for a co-op placement in my area for radio broadcasting, maybe one day I can have a J-Rock/Pop radiostation? Razz

Women generally are better when it comes to rock music in Japan. Look at TsuShiMaMiRe, noodles, Titan-Go-Kings, pop chocolat, GitoGito Hustler, Go!Go!7188, Mummy the Peepshow, and many more! They're un-freakin'-believable!
