I would personally have rolled 2nd Seasons into the main seasons just to make it simpler.

Sometimes sequels are far better/worse than the originals though. This list pretty much matches my own, but I would've put Denpa higher

I appreciate its popularity, but for as pretty as Sword Art Online can be, I've found it to be almost unwatchable in its consistent Gary Stu-ism. It's hard to call the show misogynistic as such, but it has such an egregiously White Knight vision of male-female interactions that it feels like watching the 'wrong side' of a modern feminism discussion. I'm not fond of a lot of aspects of the show as a whole, but that's the one that just consistently sticks in my craw. (Contrast that with a series like Spice and Wolf, for instance, which has issues of its own in dealing with its leads' relationship - especially in the later novel volumes - but which at least has the good grace to treat all of its characters as actual characters and not just as fantasy-bait.)

From what I've seen and what I know of the series, my personal list would most likely be Durarara, S&W, Baccano, The Devil is a Part-Timer, Ground Control, prrrrobably Index, and then the rest in a broad sort of 'prefer not to think about it' lump.

Ore Imo and Ro-Kyu-Bu aside these are generally some of the most decent LN based series I've seen so not too much to argue here.

Seeing Baccano! and Accel World that low on the list hurts my feelings. Sad

I'm more surprised Baka No is even on the list. I thought the Japanese audience just passed it by.

While I'm not that surpised to see Durarara and Baccano be so low (popularity in japan is wierd like that I guess) I can't see why Index 2 of all things got first, especially considering all I hear on the web was how BAD of an adaption that season was, it really does feel like it was more of "which show out of this selection did you like the most" kind of mindset was put into the votes rather than what was actuallty a good adaptation. Oh well, I just hope that when season 3 (hurry up with that announcement JC we know it's coming.) Comes out its something I can feel proud of getting a high rank on the charts.

On a side note I'm glad to see part - timer on the list!

I agree with the top 5, all very good shows.
Although I would have but Durarara at the first place.

No Railgun? I guess that all the votes has gone to Index.

Railgun is a manga not light novel. Dengeki Bunko is ASCII Media Works LN imprint.

I'm thrilled to see that Denpa Onna made it; and above other, better known series like Maou-sama. I can't disagree with this list at all.

From what I understand, and this is completely from word-of-mouth, the Baccano! anime was quite different from the novels, so perhaps that factored into the votes.

That first part is a weird thing for a guy with Touma as his avatar to say. Personal opinion I gave Index 2 a 9/10 on Myanimelist. To me it was much more exciting, due to newer animation, and lacked the "over explainations" that the first season had. The first season would've been a 9/10 for me as well if it wasn't for the "over explainations".

Personally, I loved the original Index, but Index II was even more of a joy. I'd say it was the best of all the Index/Railgun series.

Index 2>Railgun>Index 1>Railgun S

Way too much time was wasted in Railgun S retreading the Sisters Arc. Large chunks of the dialog are word for word identical to season 1 Index.
