Well, since the last time I have posted here, I discovered the Mai-Hime ost and now in my head in the stragest moments I start to hum It's only the fairy tale. My collection of songs that I can't get out of my head becomes larger and larger...

I currently can't get the ending song of Death Note out of my head. Can't wait for the OST to be released, the music in this anime kicks ass.

Yes, the music in this manga is really great and I coudn't agree with you more. The interesting combinations between what sounds like religious music (reminds me of the 17th century classical music) with modern touches are very appealing to me. I am most unpatient to listen to this ost. |

Yes, those Nightmare songs are pretty sweet. And the OST is being released in late December right in time for Christmas. Check out right here. Also, the first R2 DVD of the anime comes out that day too. |

I've got the opening theme for Shana stuck in my head and it's been there for about three weeks now. Scarlet Color Sky (Hishoku no Sora) is one of my favorite openings of all time.
On occasion, I find myself singing to myself the english language version of Melfina's song from Outlaw Star. |

I have a really annoying song stuck in my head too. It is called Permiscuous by Nelly Furtato. You probably don't know this song since you guys are really up into anime. I just like drawing anime. Do we draw any anime on here and show them off at the boards? I am a little confused on this site... it would be great if someone could explain it to me. Thank you!

There's a song on Great Teacher Onizuka that I know plays when he knocks down the wall in ep 1 and when he's driving the guys around in his Benz in ep 32. It has a lot of trumpet in i and is really dramatic. Sadly, the OST I got doesn't have it. Does anybody know where to get it or the name of the song?

Saikyou OX Keikaku, OP Theme to the wacky and off-the-top martial arts comedy of the season, Sumomomomomomo. There's something about the synth, the half-cutesie vocals, and the "Ousu!" together that makes this song really...well, addicting.
"Su-mo-mo-mo...momo-mo! (Ousu!)" |

lately it's been "Lonely in gorgeous" from Paradise Kiss, sung by Tommy February.. It's just really catchy, and in fact, even before I watched it I was already into it..
The same with Sakura Kiss from Ouran.. I think one of the reasons why I wanted to watch Ouran was because of that song, it's just so cute and fitting - plus it's by Chieko Kawabe too.. She's my fave.. It really depends on what series I'm watching too, so usually whatever I sing often is from a series I'm curently watching.. If I still sing it even though I haven't watched the series in a long time, like Sentimental Generation from School Rumble Nigakki (Haven't watched it in a month), then that means I really like it.. |

Recently I've had Blue from Cowboy Bebop and Zetsubou Billy from Death Note stuck in my head. But the two songs, that continously pop back into my head months and months after I've listened to them are Shiki no Uta from Samurai Champloo and Fukai Mori from Inuyasha.

Frankly speaking, I have a tendency to favor soundtracks that feature an accentuated bass line (must be the dozen or so years I spent in the low brass section [euphonium FTW]), but the songs that I truly consider my favorites are those that, after lying dormant in my head for a few months, I remember perfectly when I think about them. Anyways, they are:
"Kom, Süsser Todd," EoE: I have a feeling that I'll never be able to forget this one. A bit of it's the fact that it fits the movie so perfectly, and some of it is the fact that I saw the movie during a very rough period of my life. The movie somehow became a source of inspiration to me ("the problems others have are invariably worse than yours, so pull yourself together"). This song was then a direct link to what I had seen, and listening to it on the ride home from work was somehow soothing to me, a way to forget that the world as a whole existed (back then, home was no better a place to be than work...). "Lilium," Elfen Lied: As others said, the first time I listened to this, it just bowled me over. I spent the next ten minutes or so just repeating the OP, soaking it in. For the next two weeks, at least once a day, I caught myself humming the song, no matter where I was. "Coppelia's Casket," Noir: I don't know what it was that keeps this song in my mind. Just out of the blue, after months on head, it'll start running through my mind. That the song is a wonderful piece of work is the only reason why I can't forget it. "Mahoro de Mambo," Mahoromatic: Simply put, it's just the bounciness that makes it unforgettable. Always found it good for a little morale boost. You Get to Burning, Nadesico: Ah, it's just the pure, unbridled energy of it that I can't forget. Megumi Hayashibara at her best. |

Maybe because I've been watching Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GiG, or maybe because it has an awesome rhythm that flows really well, I just can't stop humming the song "Rise", the opening theme the the second season of SAC. It's the same with Angelus from Inuyasha. But these are great songs, not some random folk song that drives you up the wall. It's fun to hum.

I know you said that months ago Richard (Nov 06), but I thought I'd quote it because I just discovered the OP for Shana myself. It's also one of my favorite OPs and it is currently stuck in my head. It's one of the two OPs I watch entirely every time I watch an episode. The other one is the OP for Higurashi no Naku Koroni. |

I can't get Roulette*Roulette (Pani Poni Dash!) and God Knows...(TMOHaruhi Suzumiya) out of my head lately. They're really good songs, so incredibly catchy.
