Hey everyone, for those of you out there that has seen the short yet exciting anime series, Fate Stay Night, don't you all think it should've been longer? I mean there should REALLY be a second season to the series. Please reply to show your support

No, I don't think it needed a 'continuation'. It had some issues, but it covered the Fate scenario fine and making it longer wouldn't have helped the problems it had.

However, I would really, really like to see Heaven's Feel and/or Unlimited Blade Works animated.

what u say is correct, however, i have come to realize that many fans were hoping to see shirou and saber together, spoiler[instead in the anime, saber goes back to her time and dies, and shirou is left with nobody. I know that kind of separation is very painful,] so i think even though the first season covered everything, a "continuation" of the series should be made, this time, maybe on sumthing that's not the grail war, but some other conflict that'll spoiler[bring shirou and saber together once again].

[edit: Added spoiler tags to your post, please remember to use spoiler tags in the future as not everyone has completed the series. - Keonyn]

While I have yet to play the game, there's plenty of story material left in it. Like spoiler[Ilya's death].

I don't think we'll see a sequel of FSN, since they ran the three stories in a 26 eps. series (dang... I forgot the term for it... was it amalgam). Too bad I didn't get the chance to see Dark Saber :3. Anyway...they could try an alternate telling of each of the three story, but I don't think that will ever happen. The only one you're going to be anticipating would be Fate/Hollow Ataraxia or Fate/Zero... haven't really dig anything about them, but I heard they are prequels of Fate/Stay Night Laughing

well, if what u say is true, then as loyal fans of fate stay night, we need to take measures to change that. I think we can all agree that the FSN series cannot just end like this, i mean i just finished the series 3 days ago, and it ended so abruptly that i feel as if a part of me has been torn out, like I've been smoking and then my smokes has been snatched away. so.....what i think we might be able to do is, it all depends all how many people agree with me, write to Geneon or anyone affiliated with the Fate project, and tell them that they need to make a second season of FSN or sumthing of that sort. I know everyone wants to make big bucks, and since there is already lots of fans of FSN, the people of Fate project might consider this seriously. Please give my words some consideration and give me a reply. Thanks

Do you think a small band of a couple of rabid Western fans would convince DEEN or whoever to toss aside their other projects and spend their budget producing more FSN? Maybe they'll eventually do it on their own accord, but fanboy whining isn't going to magically convince DEEN to animate other scenarios.

While I would rule out the other two Fate/stay night scenarios being animated (as I understand it, Fate gets the anime adaptation, Unlimited Blade Works gets the manga adaptation, and Heaven's Feel gets cheated with a radio drama), I wouldn't rule out seeing Fate/hollow ataraxia or Fate/zero animated at some point. Type-Moon are popular, and their various works are getting an increasing mainstream attention in Japan (a movie based on one of their early works, Kara no Kyoukai, is due out this year). By far, Fate/stay night is their most popular and most mainstream work, and with a ready sequel (hollow ataraxia) and a ready prequel (zero) waiting in the wings—particularly with Fate/zero being a brand new work just now coming out—I wouldn't doubt seeing adaptations of one or both titles at some point.

However, this is all merely speculation.

Which we all know is pointless. Locking this for that reason. If someone wants a continuation or better completion of the franchise, play the games or read up the story on some fansite.
