[UK] anime releases not licensed / released in N. America

^^^ I would happily pay twice the price, hey even more if we got even half of what the US get (and I mean this in general not for SAO). I'm bored of our bog standard releases in the UK, even the special editions pale in comparison. Meh I'll just carry on importing.

Patema Inverted licensed for physical release in the UK

Announced at Scotland Lives Anime

We have some breaking news for you today courtesy of the Edinburgh weekend of Scotland Loves Anime, as a screening of Patema Inverted revealed that the film has now also been licensed for a future UK release.

There isn't any word on exact release plans, or indeed which distributor has picked up the license, but we'll be sure to let you know more once further details are revealed.

Patema Inverted scheduled for theatrical release in the UK by Anime Limited

Glasgow, UK November 28, 2013 – Anime Limited are thrilled to announce a limited cinema release of Patema Inverted in the UK.

Patema Inverted is the latest cinematic offering from the talented Yasuhiro Yoshiura, director of the much loved Time of Eve and Pale Cocoon OVA. The film is set in a unique underground world where an adventurous young princess, Patema, sets to explore the ‘danger zone’ – the region where passage has been forbidden by the leaders of the community. As she investigates the ‘danger’, Patema soon discovers just what’s going on right under her feet.

Set for release in Japan in November this year, Anime Limited is very proud to bring this unique and beautiful film to UK anime audiences. Incredibly designed and breathtakingly shot, Patema Inverted is sure to be a hit with audiences.

In addition to the theatrical release of Patema Inverted, Anime Limited will also be releasing the film as a Collector’s Edition Blu-ray and DVD with a regular release of the film on Blu-ray and DVD at a later date.

First announcement of the day: One Piece - Strong World. #anime

This tenth One Piece movie will be released on June 30th on DVD and Blu-Ray.

The first nine One Piece films will also be coming to the UK on DVD.

The eighth One Piece movie will be dubbed, all other films will be subtitle-only.

Following on from the on-going release of the TV series in the UK, the first announcement out of the (straw) hat was One Piece - Strong World, the tenth One Piece film, which will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray with a release date of June 30th 2014.

All nine previous One Piece films will also be released on DVD - the eighth film will be released with an English language track as well as Japanese audio; all seven other films will be released as a subtitle-only release.
