I cant name any metal bands persay, but...
TJ MAXX is a great hardcore band from Japan.
FC FIVE is a more punkish/hardcore band I've seen tour the US twice now.

Interestingly enough their video for Saku won viewer's choice for Best Metal Video 2006 on Headbanger's Ball beating out bands like Lamb Of God and even Iron Maiden. |
Well the new maiden album is garbage by their standards, so it's no suprise.
But Dir En Grey?? They're like the Korn of J-nu metal *gags* |
Stay away from "Dir En Grey" I just dont see how they won video of the year on the Nu Bangers Ball then again Im not a fan of Mtv to begin with.. As for the Iron Maiden comment they dont make a garbage album never have never will they write epic music and if they did write a bad album which they wont there worst album would be miles ahead of any Dir En Grey music.
I mean there a damn pop band with insturments trying to hard to be diffrent which comes off as fake. Go with the bands Sigh and Sabat anything black or death metal is always good for the most part..

Enough people voted for them, that's how. And I'd hardly call it "Nu Bangers Ball" considering that they show videos from Lamb Of God, Amon Amarth, and Suffocation among many others that are the farthest thing from nu-metal.

I'm not saying AMOLAD was garbage overall. On its own it's a solid album. But Compared to the glory of Numbers of the Beast, Powerslave and Piece of mind, and even BNW and Dance of Death it's a HUGE step down. Even their most hardcore fans think so. Not a single one was happy when they chose to perform the whole thing live, and in one of their last stops of the Life and Death Tour, they just about got booed off stage. Of course, that album is better than anything Dir en Grey has done, but that's not the point of the thread.
And for every Dragonfroce, Amon Amarth and Suffocation (Lamb of God is Questionable) that's played on Headbangers ball, there's a million COF's, Disturbeds and A7X. But at least the former bands are getting air play.
But again, that's veering off the topic.

Hey, I likes COF (I assume you mean Cradle of Filth) and Disturbed. A7X not so much.

I would soil my pants if Maiden was to play the Matter album in its entire order if they toured in my area sometime soon in the near future. Hey I like Amon Suffocation Cradle of Filth but see no draw to Lamb of God or why people are so goo goo gaa gaa about them?

Trust me Lamb of God are Nu metal the be all end all of false fake metal. There a pop band. Now Amon and Suffocation is were the good stuff is at they can run laps around Lamb of God.

Lamb of God have their moments, but they're not a pop band. It's like you only think so because either A) They're popular or B) You dont like them or C) Both.
I dont think the world of them either, but they're closer to metal than say Slipknot or A7X, nor do they even try to be something they're not (Trivium).
But that's irrelevant to the thread.

Lamb of God...Nu? Pop? You've never listened to their old stuff have you? OK, "Redneck" is a radio hit, but everything else they've done is pure metal. If you don't like them, fine; but there's no way they're a pop/nu-metal band.
OK, this is getting way too off topic so that's the last I'll say on this subject.

I have heard every album Log has put out and trust me I'm a expert in metal thus thats why they call me "Metal Heavy Metal" because I'm a expert in this sort of thing. Log is a pop band simple as that and does not shock me at all when I look at the so called metal of today being passed for metal I will take the 1980's any day over this new wave of pop bands...
