Just FYI, our next game review will be Phoenix Wright: Justice for All, and will be up on Friday morning.

Quick question for curiosity's sake: are you guys going to be reviewing any downloadable games (ie. games off the Wii Virtual Console, Xbox Live Arcade, and Playstation Network) or is it just going to be recent, store bought releases?

It depends entirely on the content. We're only covering games we feel appeal to anime and manga fans; IE any licensed anime games, Japanese RPGs, etcetera. It's a pretty broad field. For instance, we would review Zelda, but not Gears of War, We'd review Final Fantasy XII, but not Dead Rising, Devil May Cry 4 but not Resistance.
Right now there isn't a lot of anime-related or otaku-targeted stuff on any of the download services out there (in fact I can't really think of any). Maybe when Castlevania: Symphony of the Night shows up on Live we'll cover that, but by and large any downloadable stuff has to fit our criteria, and I'm more likely to have our critic work on recent major releases rather than retro stuff or online content.

It's cool that they're adding game reviews, but I figured that on a site like this we'd be getting anime game reviews. Doing reviews of the latest Mario games or whatever is kind of redundant.

At the time he started writing, there weren't any new anime games out. However, we will have reviews of the new Inuyasha DS game, and the JRPG Rogue Galaxy.
But hey, why don't you go ahead and complain about free content?

Thanks everyone for the comments so far. I've been a long-time ANN reader, and I'm glad to be on board. We discuss what games to review every month, but your input is always welcomed.

Hey ... I think adding Game Reviews is just great!
who knows, maybe this'll lead to the "Gaming News Network" someday ....
I'm just about to crack open your review, it looks really long
Anyways, I do look foward on reading future gaming reviews

How bout reviewing Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Spirit Summoner(DS), Fullmetal Alchemist Dual Sympathy(DS), and/or Digimon World DS? Hopefully you'll review Dragonball Z Shin Budokai: Another Road when it's released in March for the PSP... As I'll pick it up, just hope it isn't the same as last years.

You better do a god of War II review just because it's God of War.

Don't go stinking up the message boards with your poorly-reasoned heckling, you pinhead. Wario Ware is a fairly bizarre game and as such has a distinctly Japanese sense of humor to it, so it's a perfect candidate for review on ANN. Besides, if they reviewed nothing but anime-based games we get like 3 or 4 reviews a year and most of them would be negative because most anime games suck. The fine folks at ANN realize that many of the anime fans are also gamers and I for one appreciate this new content. Bravo, Andrew Yoon & ANN!

So the Tales series from Namco is a yes?
