I kind of need help with the Kare Kano box set. I read in shoujo beat that the thin pack was coming out but I had no where to find them. Sites really aren’t what I prefer but if anybody has some where I can find cheap Anime then bring it on!

Not sure which boxset you are looking for, the one with the original discs in an artbox, or the newer thinpak, but here are links for both:

discs + artbox:
From RightStuf

thinpak:
From RightStuf
From BestBuy
From Amazon

If you don't mind shopping online, RightStuf is a great site IMHO, with really good service and I would recommend them without hesitation. They have both versions in stock.

Hope that helps.

[By the way,] the new thinpack is going to be the better buy--unlike ADV's thinpacks, series released in thinpack form by RightStuf still have the extras that the single discs contained:
Quote:
DVD Features: Director's Notes, Translation Notes, Production Notes, Character Biographies, Storyboard Samples, Voice Actor Interviews, English Actresses, Outtakes, Original U.S. His and Her Circumstances Trailer, Phone Messages, Right Stuf Trailers, Scene Access, Dolby Digital 2.0 stereo audio for English and Japanese dialogue, English and Spanish subtitles plus removable "soft" subtitles for on-screen text, and more!

True, but you know how people are about artboxes sometimes, so I thought I'd provide links to both.

And personally, I prefer keep cases over thinpack cases. The only thinpack I have is Zeta Gundam, but I didn't know they'd be releasing it in dual-paged keep cases, which are incredibly cheap at Best Buy right now (much cheaper altogether than the $120 I paid for this dubtitled production Mad).

Anyway, I prefer keep cases and full box sets simply for the artwork. Or, if they're ADV thinpacks for the chance of reversible Japanese covers and DVD extras not including their English staff commentary, dubbed trailers, or anything made by them specfically.

I remember the Kare Kano full box set being on sale a few years back. Maybe Right Stuf will pull an ADV and discontinue them, put them in the Bargain Bin, and you can get it for, like $40.
