Well, there is a live-action movie from Toho. I forget if it came before the game or vice versa, though. I think ADV has the distribution rights to it, not sure.

It doesn't really stand much of a chance. The last Parasite Eve game was released nearly 3 years ago and I haven't heard of any current plans for a new one, something that would be somewhat vital for an anime to be made. I'm also not sure if the fanbase is really there. When the game was new it was a big seller, but on the aftermarket it doesn't seem to be getting much notice, a lot of people are likely forgeting about it. And then there's Square Enix who probably have more important things to worry about.
I do think it would be a pretty good show, but realisticly I don't see it happening.

I don't know anything about any Parasite Eve. alls I know is that Joe Hisaishi did the music for the movie. and Jow Hisaishi is THE MAN. and its ashame that he didn't do the music for Kitano's Zatoichi.

I think a Parasite Eve anime would rock.
I have to movie, and only watched it once. It's not very good. I think it's based off the original book or something. Only really cool thing in it was Eve, she looked awesome.

It is highly unlikely that there will be an anime made for it. More video game titles are made into american movie deals than anime, and if companies can take a hint, they will be pickier about their franchises (House of the Dead was a kick in the gonads). Parasite Eve is a cult game where a fanbase is not very large, but it deserves a nod, just like fans of Silent Hill (me me me!!). So anything being made from those is unlikely, not to mention that SquareEnix is busy with their FFVII movie (God, I pray they do it right).

It was based on the book which inspired the games. Overall it was ok.

I don't think the fanbase is bad for this game. My personnel opinion is that Square is not giving much attention to this game, they are always to busy with final fantasy, which don't get me wrong i happen to be a big Final Fantasy fan. So i just think Square should put attention to some of their games

I thouroughly enjoyed Chrono Cross, I believe the Chrono series could be as much of a seller as FF. Speaking of, has anyone heard anything else on Chrono Break? It was announced earlier in the year but nothing other than that has been said and I'm kind of worried for it.

it was "announced" on rpgamer on the "auspicious" day of 4/1.
use your judgement if it's "legitimate" or not. ;)
