Basically, the subject says what I'm asking for; I've recently decided to subscribe to a website which allows people (for a monthly fee) to rent anime DVDs, but while I've heard of such sites I haven't been able to find any reliable ones myself.
So I was hoping someone here might be able to point me in the right direction. The only one I've learned about personally is www.animeforest.com - which I found to be a horrible disappointment. Also, please forgive me if this has been posted somewhere else. I wasn't sure where to put it, and since the site's navigation has changed I'm finding it difficult to find things. [EDIT: Moving this to Retail. -TK] |

Greencine is wonderful IMO-- lots of obscure titles, good price too. Plus, if you decide you ever want to watch obscure kungfu films, or hard to find foreign titles, or artsy independent titles in English, they're good for all of that too.

I've used both rentanime.com and netflix.com with few problems. Just don't mail your DVD's from work and you should be fine.

Woah. Thanks so much to everyone for their help! All of this information and links are so useful! lol I bet I could've saved myself some searching time if I'd just asked here first (people are so wonderfully helpful).

I've used Netflix for about 3-4 years now and it hasn't let me down yet (save for the occasional cracked disc, but that's usually the postal service's fault.)
Just about every anime I've ever wanted to rent I could find there, and it usually takes about 1-2 days to recieve a new disc if you're close to one of their distribution centers. |

I like rentanime.com the best. Most every title I can think of. And I've never had a problem with the discs. Shipping is alright, but I live nowhere close to the shipping hub.
Thanks to them, I was able to finally finish off my Ah! My Goddess collection ($20 for a like-new DVD). Customer service is excellent, too. And if they don't have a title, they can usually get it. |

Yep, between their inventory, customer service, and reasonable subscription costs, I'm definitely going with rentanime. |

Netflix is very good, never used rent anime before lol.
I have had my share of broken discs, but most of the time I was able to get replacement discs that played perfectly. |
