Hi everyone! I'm new here and I read we can put anime reccomendations on here and I read the guidelines for making them.
But, I need some help. The only animes I've seen are the Adult Swim animes. I've only seen InuYasha, Ghost in the Shell, Full Metal Alchemist, Trinity Blood, Bleach and Eureka 7. But I'm tired of only seeing ones on adult swim and I want to open my mind to more, becuase I'm sure there's a lot out there I'll like and I haven't seen it because it's not on Adult Swim.
Heres what I like:

Action:
I've seen Bleach: I like that "Soul and spirit power" kind of shows. Also, ones with a lot of characters with different powers. There is nothing I do not like about this anime.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: I like the gun fighting scenes. And, all the foreshadowing in this show. I LOVE foreshadowing! And also, character with different personalities. The only thing I do not like about this anime is there are some episodes that have no meaning to what Section 9 is trying to do. I believe they are called "Stand Alone episodes."

Fantasy: InuYasha, I love good sword fighting, and animes with "parties" Example: InuYasha, Miroku, Sango etc. all travel together to defeat Naraku. What I do not like is the main bad guy is introduced so late in the series, and how there are so many episodes that do not really help deliver the main storyline. This anime drags on too much! (in my opinion)

Sci-Fi: Full Metal Alchemist: I've always loved Sci-fi, and love bonds between characters, like Edward and Alphonse. Also, I really love that it shows clips from the past. This is my favorite so far..... nothing to complain about.

Eureka 7: Big robots are cool! I love the "romance" in this anime. I really like how it does not drag on, and each episode has a certain meaning. Nothing to complain about in this one.

Horror: Trinity Blood: VAMPIRES RULE! I LOVE awesome action scenes, and especially with characters that have a "true form," like Abel Nightroad. I do really like shojou. Nothing to complain about in this one.

The elements I like is ANYTHING with Vampires or werewolves, and anything horror.
I like a lot of Mecha, like with lots of battle scenes, like Eureka 7.

I HATE HENTAI. (Not to be mean to any Hentai fans.) I do not like that kind of genre what so ever.

I enjoy Shojou, and any kind of good romantic animes. Like Fushigi Yuugi. (I've seen 1 episode of this)

Also, romantic comedies, like Maison Ikkoku. (I've only read the manga though)

I love comedy, all comedy is good for me!
I don't know if I like anymore genres, like "drama" or "Slice of life" If anyone has any good animes that fall under these two, I will appreciate it! Very Happy

Well, thats it, (sorry its so long!) ALL replies and reccomendations will be appreciated!!!
Thank you for your time.

As stated above, the Top 50 is a great place to look. Also Newtype and other mags are a great help for finding a new series to watch. Not only do the have great articles, they also come with a trailer disk of upcoming series.
There is also the "what are you currently watching and why?" thread in this forum. Not only do you get the names, but for the most part everyone does a great job of explaining what makes it a good series to watch, or one to pass up.

Sorry. As much detail as the user put into his/her efforts, I still haven't gotten the go-ahead from Admin. to reinstate recommendation threads yet. I'll see if I can get approval or try to come up with an alternate solution by the end of the year (hopefully).
