That's True... Big O's opening is pretty annoying. But I nominate the American opening of Escaflowne. Gag-ola.

Though Big O's opening gave me nightmares. In my opinion though I dont necesarily dislike the Opening's animation I really dont like the English version of Rurouni Kenshin's Sobakasu.

Yeah, the Big O opening is pretty pathetic. It's just a series of moving stills over 2 or 3 layers. The song isn't all that great either, "Big O, Big O, Big O oo oo oooo" Too bad too, it's the type of series demands a high end openning and it looks like something out of an amature art school.
The american DBZ opening was fairly awful too, the "Rock the Dragon" one. Sounds like a bad sexual metaphor.

As long as we're discussing americanized openings let's not forget the opening to Cardcapters. It wasn't really an opening at all, just the Clow book on a stand with some meaninglesss drivel in the background.

The Big O opening animation actually causes me emotional pain... thinking of Freddie Mercury thrashing about in his grave...

Bah! What's with all the Big O bashing. The Big O intro is awesome. It's catchy, it's campy, it's funny and I like it. In fact I like nearly the whole soundtrack, save that cheesy outro. Now, that one sucks.
There is not really any intro's I really don't like. I'm not partial the Berserk intro, but that's just because I never could get into the opening song. The English intro to Yu Yu Hakusho also kinda grates. That's about it.

In the words of Mr. T: "I pity the fool that disses The Big O opening!"
Seriously, it ain't bad at all. If you want to see a bad opening, go watch Boys Over Flowers (Hana Yori Dango). These guys must've watched a Fame marathon when they animated the opening.

I couldn't agree more. Nelvana's opening is a complete travesty compared to the original openings. Give me "Catch You Catch Me" any day.

Catch you catch me is the BEST!
Anyway, The Big O theme is only irritating the first few times you watch it, for me, anyway... I started to like it after a while.

The Hana Yori Dango intro is awesome. It's one of my favorite anime songs ever. And, uh... it was made *YEARS* before Fame.
