umm....this can't be right....
release#1503 http://www.centralparkmedia.com/cpmdb/cfcpm.cfm?Cat=USMD_2344 "Complete series: Episodes 1-7 on 2 DVDs" does this have all 47 eps that is says there are in the Encyclopedia? [EDIT - Topic adjusted to reflect content. -C] |

I believe that is the first OAV, which only has 7 episodes.
EDIT: animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/releases.php?id=115&sort= is the first of the DVDs for the TV series, which is the 47 episodes. |

Hmm...well, the Encyclopedia lists the TV series as a remake of the OAV....so I would assume the OAV came first, but I'm not positive.

Heh, it says right on the listing under Extras that there's a bonus episode from the TV series included, seems like that would have given away that this was the OAV series.
