Thanks a bunch for those videos. Most entertaining (even though the cosplay was better than the performances IMO).

I just finished chapter 1 of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya novel in Chinese. Go me! Smile

Hey, thanks for the translation, frentymon!

You can also try the sos-dan.com image board, where subject matter ranges from the cute and funny to the hardcore. Twisted Evil

I second this recommendation.

As for 4chan... well, I wouldn't suggest visiting /b/ unless you have a really strong stomach, but/a/ generally isn't too bad (although many users seem to be a bit fixated on incest and lolis), and there are a lot of Haruhi threads. However, you have to sift through a lot of other stuff before finding them, so I think the sos-dan imageboards are a better option.

Somewhat on topic: This flash animation was posted on /a/ the other day. I don't know, but I'm oddly fascinated by it. (Sorry if this was posted before.)

URA version by crossplaying SOS-dan featuring Momoko-kun as Haruhi (medium quality).

This one was taken down. Is it going to be uploaded to Youtube again?

Unlikely. Dancers have been heavily disscussed over 2ch. Many 2ch users now hate them because the crown of #1 live-action SOS-dan was acquired by a non-Japanese group (for those who don't know: 2ch is very nationalistic).

Two updates:

1. Yuki Nagato with Intel Core2 Duo inside (YouTube video).

2. Suzumiya Hahiru no Yuuutsu to be released on Dec 15 by TMA, the company that brought us these. Featuring Yuri Kousaka as Hahiru.

As long as they don't cast that Shirou of F/SK for Kyon. Cool

He was the ugliest adult video actor I've ever seen.

Okay, in your other post I thought you added an extra word on there, but never mind, I figured it out. Yes, I did see the pic. And I thought the dialogue was funny as hell Laughing

Anyone speculate why the episodes are ordered as they are released? I.E. mixed up the chronological order.

To be more specific, why is episode 10 the chonological episode 4 -- could it have been released sooner or later?

You're asking why it was broadcasted out of order?

...

This is a 67 page thread, the second longest here at ANN ever. A good more than half of this thread is from when we were watching the show and trying to figure out what was going on. If 40 pages of people noticing subtle references to pop-culture and trying to figure out and guess what was going to happen (with the vast majority of people being completely off until right near the end) because of the seemingly awkard at first out of order episodes (which we later came to decide was absolutely ingenious) doesn't tell you there's more to it than just novelty, I don't know what would.

If you really wanna know, go back around page 45 or so I think, someone posted a huge post on the episode orders, what was in them, and why they were probably put in the order they were, and why it worked so well for the series.

Nevermind. I'll write my own interpretation -- if I ever get around to it. The way I see it -- I would not change the order at all. Even though, I never watched this series in release or chonological order. Twisted Evil

Though for starters, the episodes are ordered as they were in order to release information about the series at opportuned times. Thus, non-released information is left open to speculation and some mystery -- until the specific episode is shown. For example, Koizumi's powers - by eps. 07, we were shown some of his abilities. However, we weren't shown the background to that power, the limits, and full capabilities until near the end in eps 13.
