If you haven't heard, Bleach is being released on the Nintendo Wii in the near future. Some of the action in preview videos are good and there is some promise according to IGN.com. However, there is a "button-mashing type" feature which requires the player to swing vigorously to do attacks. Combos are done by pressing butons on the second half of the controller. O and its a fighting game. It sounds good but the controls might be difficult to master.

What are your thoughts on the game being released on the Wii? Will you buy it?

According to somewhat conflicting reports, it now seems that the Wii is not Region Free, so no, I won't be buying it, at least not for the year or two it'll take for the series to catch up with the content of the game (like with Naruto's Gekitaisen 4).

Unless Sega, or some company that got the okay, releases it State side. FYI: there's a topic about it in the Talkback section.

I just do not go down for these anime video games like Naruto or bleach, they are not my thing. I like RPG's and that is about all I play, with the ocasional RTS or FPS. So I would have to say no, I will not be buying this game. Furthermore I played the Bleach Game from the Game Cube and it was pretty crappy compared to other fighting games I have played in the past. It reminded me of one of those ten dollar computer games that they sell at Walmart, you know, the really bad ones. I had hoped it would have actually been playable, but like they say, "Hope is the first step on the road to dissapointment". I think that I will just stick with my RPG's.

This game is manga based, so we won't see it stateside for a LONG time. I'd love to import it, as I plan to do with the new Bleach PS2 game, but the region coding is probably going to mess me up. Until someone figures out a work around for it I won't be able to import it or a few other Wii titles. Sad

I would expect to see a freeloader disk for the wii very soon. There is alot of money to be made using those damn things. I never was clear wether or not those disk's were legal or not.

I guess technically it's illegal to break region coding, but in my eyes region coding is one the dumbest ideas ever. I have imported over a dozen PS2 games from Japan, and about 6 games for the gamecube. Many of them are anime fighting games. I know some of them will make it over to the states eventually, but I don't want them. I want the original voices, and I want to play the up to date games. As long as it's a licenses and pressed disc, I should be able to play it regardless of the region.
