The music on the ending montage of the final episode of the third season made me think about the song from Mr. Holland's opus, An American Symphony. Are they the same piece or am I just nuts.

Don't be so surprised... It's quite common to listen to classical music fragments in anime. Clear examples?
-Beethoven's Ninth Symphony in NGE. -Ravel's Bolero in Digimon 01 and 02 -And a piece I know it's called Clowns, whose composer I don't remember in FLCL. So it wouldn't be much of a surprise if it was O_o |

They didn't for Gundam 0083. But I think that was a particularly flagrant example of disregard for copyrights. They probably figured nobody in the Western world would notice that various Western film soundtracks were being used.
That being said, I really love 0083's soundtrack, plagiarized though it is. It works so perfectly. |
