Yamakan, you aren't Kawamori. Don't think you can get away with something this ridiculous.

Haven't watched a single idol anime of the recent wave.
Not gonna watch this either. |

The staff is great and I'm always up for more idol anime. Looking forward to this.

So pretty much an idolm@ster clone with most of the same staff....
Umm just make more im@s instead of copies if you're getting the production team for it. |

Too many copycats. It's like those Hollywood studios, when one studio does a certain type movie, seems everybody follows with same type movies. (Remember when we had a bunch of disaster movies?)

I'm definitely going to watch this even though I'm already getting that Idolmaster vibe.

So far I've been pretty satisfied with the recent idol wave, so maybe this is something even Yamakan can't screw up.
Granted, he's not all bad. Using Kannagi in the article title is pretty sly, whoever wrote the article, since it's not even his most recent work, but was certainly his most (if not only) successful anime he directed. Fractale could have been a lot better, and had a rather good start I felt, but considering how it turned out, Yamakan seems to have a penchant for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. |

I don't see the resemblance between Wake Up, Girls! and THE IDOLM@STER, since I don't think the latter ever dealt with seven girls being scouted in a post-quake situations (or similar) to prevent a talent agency from going out of business.
With that said, I'm quite excited. I hope Yamakan delivers. |

This does sound interesting. Maybe Yamakan will give us more food references too (like that Lucky Star episode where they debate how to eat a choco cornet).

You can't just say "its like IM@s" unless it has both the Idol singer aspect and based on a franchise that is over a half decade old.
The closest thing in the past few years was AKB0048 and that was more like rehashed Macross Frontier. |

If this will be as good as Love Live, then I will give this one a try.

I'd be interested just for the Tohoku connection.

Again, I don't see the resemblance. All I see is a manager and his idols, and that's pretty much what idol anime is. |
