That kid must be pretty popular and well liked, otherwise I could anticipate that scene as playing out quite differently. That said, you gotta appreciate the time effort he put into that proposal, that girl is probably going to remember that moment better than she'll ever remember anything that happens at prom.

Totally something I would pull! Man has got my respect. Though I imagine that if I had done it, it would've ended much differently as kakoishii stated before. Still would've done it though.

This makes me wonder what he's gonna do when he proposes to a girl.

...I sure hope that girl likes Pokemon! Wouldn't that have been awkward otherwise?
In all seriousness though, that's a pretty cute and creative way to ask a girl to prom. I can only wonder how the actual date's going to unfold (will she be dressed up as Misty?) *OT: Wow is that cafeteria nice! It sure puts my school's to shame! |

We all grew up on Pokemon. Who doesn't love it? |

sure we grew up with pokemon, but those kids are what, 16 or 17 years old? They probably were born the year pokemon started airing in the US (god I'm old...), but then again there's always reruns and the show does still air so maybe they grew up on the later arcs of pokemon.
totally what I was thinking. My high school cafeteria was just a step above a gymnasium, and that was after they remodeled it. No lofty grand staircases for us |

Ha ha. That's awesome.
Pretty much. It's not that your average teen today is actually into Pokemon now, but the bulk of them have nostalgic memories of it since today's teens were at just the right age to be kids when Pokemon was at its peak. |

This is probably the 2nd best way I've seen someone ask a girl to prom next to this. xD

In my high school days, we had the decency to be ashamed of our Pokemon fandom at that age.

I'm willing to wager that if someone tried to do this in any British secondary school on any day other than a fancy dress/theme party, they'd probably be ridiculed for at least a year...
