Promo cards? In graphic novels?

It's about freakin' time.

Hey, when they finally get around to doing Yu-Gi-Oh! R, maybe Vandalgion will come as a promo...

About time? They released promo cards for the FMA CCG in an issue of the manga here, as well as two cards in two of the DVD's.

Back when the Tenchi Muyo movie "Tenchi in Love" came out, the dubbed VHS included the card "Washu's Space-Time Convertor" from the Ani-Mayhem CCG as well. Promo cards as packins are nothing new, not even for manga and graphic novels.

But for Yu-Gi-Oh!, it's new stuff.

Sure, there was Saint Dragon - The God of Osiris with the movie comic, but we haven't gotten any real promos with the GNs. And there are a lot of cards that are iconic in the manga/anime and real in Japan that we still haven't gotten.

There's a very, very big backlog of promo cards, and the more avenues for them to release them, the better.

It's gonna backfire. Kids will only steal the cards, and read the manga in the store, therby rendering this idea moot.

I can't even begin to describe how certain issues of Shonen Jump are missing Yu-Gi-Oh Promo Cards when I go and buy copies.

Then just shrinkwrap them or something.

Wouldn't stop them.

A Target I went into once had maybe six or so copies of the BEUD issue...every single one had been ripped open and the promo cards stolen. Greedy little bastards...I'd break their fingers if I had the chance. Anime hyper#
