Funny in hindsight this works out for FUNimation really well; the Railgun S1 DVD gets released in April, and they'll have S2 hopefully ready for simulcasting.

Considering Index II was simulcast by no one, I can't say I would bet my life on Funimation simulcasting it.
To be fair, however, that series did premiere in fall 2010, which was Funimation's low point for simulcasts, and CR wasn't as good at nabbing simulcasts then (only 10 new simulcasts that season vs. 18 for fall 2012).
Mark me down as hopeful, but not convinced.

While I prefer Mami Kawada, this is good that its consistent. And I really liked fripside's work for Railgun.

The main story of A Certain Scientific Railgun S will follow the Sisters arc from the source material.
So it's probably going to be a 12 episode season, perhaps? I'm crossing my fingers for 24 but I'm not holding my breath.

Wouldn't be surprised if the second half is used to bridge to the Sports Festival arc.

They definitely can make it 24 episodes. Skimmed through the manga and there's a lot of material in the sisters arc.

I think you're overreacting a bit, lol. It was well done, imo. Nothing that intolerable at the very least.
