And it was fun comparing the re-drawn panels to the original artwork. lol

The story is actually set in a different era, not that it would matter to the ignorant. And Romance of the Three Kingdoms was never popular in the West. If you're talking about Japan, there are constantly new adaptations be it manga or games. But again, they won't be localized here though cause ROTK is just not popular in the west.

Yeah, nowadays China's warring states are not popular anymore. But at one point, it was popular enough to bring over games such as the Romance of the Three Kingdoms game series, The Bandit Kings of Ancient China, Destiny of an Emperor, and then of course the anime films.
