Gluttony in EP 50 of FMA?

I just watched Episode 50 of FMA and had a question about Gluttony. spoiler[Why were they (Dante and Envy) trying to get Gluttony to eat Al? It would seem like now that Dante has Al she could just go ahead and jump bodies and go over to Rose's body.]

Is there something more sinister planned? If so, and it gets explained in Episode 51, just say yes there is something more planned that gets explained later and leave it at that. I don't want the ending spoiled, but if my question isn't fully explained then go ahead and give an explanation.

Sorry I'm not answering your question, but you might want to put "Dante" under spoiler. Not everyone has seen FMA up til where you have seen it so technically saying "Dante and Gluttony" under the title "Ep 50", would be a spoiler.

I changed it so hopefully you will feel better about it. To be honest, I sort of felt like anyone who was trying to avoid spoilers wouldn't enter a thread that mentioned Ep 50 in the title. If you haven't seen up to Episode 50 and you don't want to know what is going on in the episode there is no reason to read the thread.

Does anyone have an answer to my question, though?

I think that Dante needed Gluttony to eat Al to spit up the Philosopher's Stone within him. She may not have been able to use it to its full potential while it's bound to someone else.

I'm pretty sure the phil stone in al was rotting so glut had to eat it to make a pure one or something.
