I dont see the point in this. I mean, if you live on campus or close by, but otherwise it's much more practical to rent and/or buy it.

Anime on the big screen in Wisconsin? I'll take it. I work fifteen miles from Madison anyway.

More info at:
http://cinema.wisc.edu/schedule/index.php?arrive=bydate#31

I think it's a big deal because it's being show in all its 35mm celluloid greatness.

Be sure to arrive early, if you go!

See, that's exactly my point. I live over an hour from madison, so it's a waste of time and money to drive that far just for a movie I can rent for a bit less.

Welcome to life in Wisconsin! You have to travel for stuff if you don't live in Madison or Milwaukee. You are SOL if an anime-related event is in Chicago. (Those tolls are horrible! Parking is worse!) Wink

But, you know, the UW film schedule is impressive. It's also rare that an anime movie is shown in Wisconsin, but more titles have been shown here recently.

Yeah, I know. That's why I hate shtsconsin. At least where I'm at, cos everything is so out of the way. Actually, an hour isnt so bad for a major event. A two hour drive for Acen-one of the premier anime cons in the midwest is NOT bad. And I give UWMad props for doing that- though it'd be better if they showed something a bit more obscure. It's just not worth my driving an hour.

Say they were playing steamboy when it was still in theaters, or appleseed or Howl's, cos those were extremely limited releases, that would be worth it.
