A few more titles has surfaced from AAA Anime. Right now we have BLOOD-C (both SKUs), Shin-Chan S3, and Toriko: Collection 1 (not sure if that MSRP is right).

I'm just curious if Blood-C will be censored like it was during NicoNico's stream of the series, or if Funi is going to release it uncensored. Not that I'd probably mind either version, since the censoring was so over the top that I could always use a good (awkward) laugh during a re-watch.
Despite the fact that I was left going "WTF?" by the end of the series (most of which I'm sure will be explained once the movie is released, at least I hope so), pretty sure I'll probably pick up Blood-C once it's released onto Blu-Ray/DVD just to rewatch for the things I've missed, to share with my boyfriend and his love for the horror/supernatural genre of shows, and it's CLAMP. |

I'm sure BLOOD-C won't be censored. The one restriction (for some) I can see is locked subtitles.

Funi doesn't censor stuff on home video releases, so nothing to worry about. If they can release things like Mnemosyne which is about 10 times worse on the violence scale they can definitely release Blood-C uncensored.

I'll definitely get Blood-C at some point. Hell, they went to all the trouble of naming an anime after me, so I guess I should, right?

Did you ever see the Funimation Freezing stream? Pretty much half the screen was blacked out for a majority of the episodes |

I have funimation's Freezing. Its totally uncensored. Im sure they have an obligation to censor when they are streaming to the public. And if I am not mistaken, they are probably streaming the broadcasted version that was in Japan, which is censored. |

I know that much. I am just saying that you should go and watch the stream. It was kind of funny how much of the screen was blacked out. Its going to be weird watching it uncensored LOL Should be getting it soon given that the order it is in will probably be shipping out within the next 2 weeks. |

Up on TRSI
Blood-C DVD/Blu-ray Complete Series - 300 minutes - $64.98 - 1/08/13 Blood-C DVD/Blu-ray Complete Series Limited Edition - 300 minutes - $69.98 - 1/08/13 ShinChan (Crayon Shinchan) Season 3 DVD Complete Set - 650 minutes - $49.98 - 1/29/13 Toriko DVD Part 1 - 325 minutes - $64.98 - 1/08/13 All right. Two things. First, that can't be everything. Some shit is getting delayed, and I just hope it's not PSG or either Tenchi set. Second, WTF is up with Toriko's price? When One Piece first started coming out, the sets were only $50; $65 is crazy. I wonder what, if anything, they're planning to do with this release. Season sized art boxes perhaps? |

I doubt this is all for January; more like these are confirmed to be released at this point in time, although that doesn't factor in any possible delays.
I won't be surprised if we see one or two delays for January (I, too, am hoping not for Tenchi Muyo!, since that's my brother's Christmas gift this year), and a couple of other things being solicited in the next month or so. |

Could it possibly be so high because of the show that it is? Maybe they dont expect it to sell like other series, so they bump the price up some to offset the costs associated with it?
I never thought Toriko would be a show that would sell well here. Maybe Im wrong though. |

Funimation isn't Aniplex of America - they don't scale their prices based on how well they think it'll sell. Funimation has set standards for prices and so I highly doubt they're charging that much because they think it'll sell poor. It's either a misprint or they're doing something special for it.

Most companies would want there products out for the xmas season. So I dont get why you guys think there is more to come. Also any retailer will tell you the biggest sale period is xmas.
Madman Entertainment in Australia has a very small Jan release schedule each year because of trying to get everything into the December month. Plus they also close for two weeks normally between 25 December and 7 January. |
