Ok people I want to hear about ur favourite anime character of all time who is he/she? This can include characters from all different types of media consumption.

So search you mind and think people weather u prefer your Spike Spiegel’s to your Cloud Strife or maybe u take your anime with a hint of Shôtarô Kaneda it doesn’t matter because there is no right or wrong answers so please speak freely.

So again we are looking for favourite anime characters they can be cool or just plain wicked in either sense. What ever they are we wanna hear it.

and please give reasons for this decision and why you think they are so great.

Duos can be discussed also so if you can decided on which character out of a duo just tell us both. also it would be interesting hearing what people find are the most horrific examples of amine characters whether they are annoying or just plain stupid.

My favourite anime character would be spike spiegel of course, im obsessed about the guy not in a gay homosexual term more along the lines of "yea what an interesting cool character". He has one of the most mysterious pasts I’ve ever seen and although never really revealed the show most certainly doesn’t disappoint. Spike spiegel is a futuristic, Bruce lee, jazzman. Who is skilled in flying, fighting and shooting. His charm and comedy side provide great character development that helps the plot progress. He is my favourite fictional character and has become for me somewhat of an icon and an idol.

My most hated of all anime characters would have to be Tidas in final fantasy 10. I hate they way he dresses and the things he says. His voice makes me want to break my consol then burn it. He has no real courage to be honest I see him merely as a wimp who is being overshadowed by another superb anime character auron.

U heard my pathetic excuse for anime characters but hey if u think u can do better give us a shout.

Cheers Smile

Amen to that!

Now back to topic =D

My most favorite male character: Tasuki from Fushigi Yuugi
He's practically my ideal man. His personality gets me the most. He has a rough exterior, seemingly stupid at times, but deep down he's a loyal friend and caring. Carrying around that tessen that's able to spit fire is a definitely plus. Not to mention, a majority of my favorite male characters after him are some variation of him. ^^;;

My most favorite female character: Kuchiki Rukia from Bleach.
She's a great character. She's tough, a smartass, and kicks butt; but, at the same time, she still has her femininity. She's not a girly-girl but she's not butch either. I hope that makes sense. ^^;; She can take care of herself and isn't selfish, a good friend.

Well, my all-time favorite character is Wakabayashi Genzo from Captain Tsubasa. He's a very kakkoii goalkeeper, and my God, he's soooooooooo cute! As a Kid, I mean, 'coz when he grows up... *drools* Besides, he was the very first anime character I saw and later the 1st one I could draw. LONG LIVE SOCCER ANIME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Female character? I guess I'd say Hoshino Ruri from Nadesico. That girl can creep me out and make me smile at the same time, and she looks so cute in the movie... The White Fairy.

And non-human...I have to say Ta-kun from FLCL. That little black cat makes me go nuts. I love cats, and this one stole my heart.

There are many characters in Japanese animation whom I am fond of. I shall list only two to avoid a long thread.

My favorite character changes occasionally, but it is currently Byakuya Kuchiki from Bleach. I admire him for his fighting skill, his attitude, and his hairstyle.

My least favorite character is probably Hercule Satan from Dragon Ball Z. That guy is so damn annoying! I wish that Cell had killed him when they "fought," so that the universe could have been rid of his stupidity. Thankfully, however, DBZ is over, and Bleach, my current favorite anime, is devoid of such characters, although Don Kanonji does come pretty close.

I'd agree with the OP. My favorite character is probably Spike from Cowboy Bebop. He's so chill, and his actions speak louder than words. I find him to be a great hero too, just due to his choice of actions and such.

A close second would be Vash the Stampede, from Trigun. I love how he keeps his words and tries not to kill. He is a perfect example of a hero.

The most hated for me would be Kurasuma? from School Rumble. THe dude that tenma likes. He is so bland and boring, and I'm pitying Harima due eto him. I know that he is supposed to be a humorous character but i never find him funny...

Kei Kurono - Doesn't have ideals, doesnt like many people, has instant impressions, trys to look cool instead of couragus, and likes porn. This is exelent in a main character as they dont have to all be goody too shoe's

Kino - from kinos journy as she doesnt strive to set things right, she also lives the dream of travling without a care, someting i would like to do.

Most hated? dunno il get back to you on that.....

Ashitaka from Princess Mononoke would have to be a strong candidate for my favorite anime character of all time. The fact that he never sold out and kept his ground about peace when the humans and the forest spirits were beefin with each other. Also the guy got shot straight through the chest and kept walkin with a chick on his shoulder and on top off all this he blew both arms off a dude with an arrow and took another guys head off. The reason why he can't claim first in my book is because of that gay ass sword of his I mean it would put Kenshin to Shame

A definite second would have to be Kurama from Yuyu Hakusho because the guy took a sword in his chest for a complete stranger, pulled it in tighter, cupped the blood in his hands and threw it in Hiei's face. Also because he can transfrom into Yoko and Yoko is a straight up G. The seed plant thing is enough to land him a spot in anyone's book

Finally Third would be Van from Escaflowne be cause he was a beast with his sword. End of story

Surprised
I think my all time favourite character is Washu from all Tenchi series and movies (specially from OVAs, of course). She's a fantastic woman, knows a lot, she's really a genious but it's not the stereotype of "genious without feelings", she's adorable anyway, his story (all about her child and that stuff) also makes me apreciate her more, she always acts like a happy person, her inventions are fantastic like the Soja, her 5-planets-sized lab, etc.

Male character could be Jinnai from El Hazard, he's just extremely funny, corrupt and arrogant but he couldn't be more funny, the dub (i mean the japanese, even the english and specially the spanish) for him is great, the spanish guy who dubbed him is a god. His face couldn't represent better how he is, a great character.
Another memorable male character is Hanamichi Sakuragi from Slam Dunk, the only thing i dislike about him is that he enter the basket team just for Haruko, but he still being funny, i really love Slam Dunk characters, they're all well done and really are like human (it's not necessarily good but in SD it's good).
Yuu Matsura is also a great character, maybe the best from Marmalade Boy and definitely the more (maybe the only one) smart, he is just himself and is very sincere, the chilean dub for him was also great, one of my favourite chilean voice-actors.

Bye bye.

Favourite? Now thats a tough one...I'd say Robin from Witch Hunter Robin. She so very cool, attractively drawn and despite her super human abilities they arent really the focus of her character, and hey she also has a weakness, its not some jumped up super human weaknes but a ralistic down to earth one, she needs glasses. Its just so poetic that someone with such power has such a common everyday weakness.

least favourite is FAR easier.

Kurono from Gantz, the main character guy, if you've seen it you'll know what I mean and why I hate him...he's tied with that girl from it too, the one with the sickeningly large breasts.

Mine would definnetley have to be Kinnikuman from the series of the same name. He's just such an idiot most of the time yet such a badass when he has to be. Also, in the anime he's voiced by my all-time fav. seiyuu: Kamiya Akira!! I also dig Ramenman. He's such an awesome martial artist and he was able to overcome brain damage and continue fighting as Mongolman (awesome!!). I also think it's awesome he has his own spin-off series. He and Kinnikuman are usually at the top of my list.

Also, there's Bo-Bobo, Don Patch, and Tokoro Tennosuke (three-way-tie) from Bobobo-Bo Bo-Bobo. I'm always a fan of unusual humor and these three are serious nutjobs whom have no buisness hanging around a 14-year-old girl.

Least fav. would have to be....... ummmm.... well, to tell the truth i tend to like and appreciate every character from every anime i like, so i don't technically have one. I guess i'll just say the kid from Pokemon (Kojirou or whatever his real name is, i'm not calling him Ash) because i just plain don't like that series.

Akito Sohma from Fruits Basket. Not a common favourite, I'll tell you that, but I'll say one thing- Although his time in the series was short and brief even when he did appear on screen, he had the biggest impact on me, twice that of a strong leading character and such.

His kind of character really gets to me- it reaches a level beyond 'sympathy' or 'pity'. I usually love those who are labelled as 'bad', but with a good reason behind it. Someone who is frowned apon or feared by the other characters. Not the 'tough, but nice' kind that end up being worshipped by fans, or the randomly evil, annoying type of character either. Akito is a type in his own, I guess. =D

There are many others I love, like Snowe Vingerhut from Suikoden IV. He's such an adorable little traitor- I love traitor characters. He too, though, has a reason for it. It wasn't spontanious or for the sake of 'being evil lolz'. He wanted to amount to something. He was sick of his best friend beind worshipped as 'the best'. And it was quite annoying. :\ Even though I'm supposed to be playing the "best friend" (main character). I should be accepting the glory if it's 'me'. Anime hyper

Kadaj (Final Fantasy- Advent Children) is one of my favourites too. He had reasons behind his actions just like all others I have mentioned. Reasons connected to strong emotions- as the previous two have as well.

My next obsession doesn't count because he's from a Manga. The first and only manga I ever bothered to read, aside from Fruits Basket which was a complete failure. I gave up.

Kousuke of Spiral is another character I love, but he kind of defies the 'rule' of my favourites. Unlike those above, he's not necessarily labelled as evil or cruel, but I just adore him and his character. He's witty and just great to watch.

Well, that was more than one. :\ I guess when it all comes down to it, Akito is number one, but the others are very, very close. I'd tie them all if I could.

My favorite male character is Virgo Shaka. He is probably the most powerful of all the gold Saints. He even has control over death.

My favorite female anime character is Maya from Sokyu no Fafner. She is a very normal girl who is afraid of everything. But when she climbs onto the cockpit of her big robot to fight aliens, she becomes a different person. She blocks all emotions and becomes completely fearless.

And the worst character ever is Shinji from Neon Genesis Evangelion who is the opposite of Maya. He is always afraid of everything and loses control every 5 minutes. So annoying!

I liked Lucy from Elfen Lied, just that she carried enormous hatred towards humans, killed/crippled many in the process, had horns, had special powers, had split personality, was attractive, killed many Twisted Evil well, you probaly got the point..

I admire Mr Whitey-chan from Bleach ( Crying or Very sad still cant remember his name). He seems young, arrogant and full of himself in the beginning, but later I saw him as great and constructive leader with both power and wits, caring for his sister, but I kinda got down, when spoiler[spoiler[he got smacked by Cheater Aizen and it wasnt really shown, that Whitey survived], Confused is he OK??]

My favorite Game character is Cidolfas Orlandu (or just plain Cid) from Final Fantasy Tactics.. needless to say, that Cid is one person army, whos Excalibur sword and holy swordsman skill are not just legendary, but Awesome! Shocked

My favourite Male character would have to be..

Ayane Sohma. He is the funniest guy around, and owns the most bizzare shop I've ever seen. A pure winner indeed. I suppose it's a tie between Ayame and Kambei from Samurai 7. He is so cool!

My favourite female character is clearly....

Ayumu Kasuga (Osaka). She is by far the most interesting and hillarious character on the face of the earth. 'Nuff said.

You mean Hitsugaya? Yeah he is spoiler[ alive, he and his sister both received treatment from the captain of the 4th squad. ] She said so after she showed up to where the other wounded people were.

Actually, I don't remember seeing anybody die in this anime. Except for all those people who are already dead and are now spirits, which is pretty much everyone hehe
