That was great! Loved the story, loved the art.
Of course I'll make the obligatory gripe here about Mako, the main chara, being attracted to a virtual avatar, but... Well, the rest of it was just dandy. (And it might not have been the avatar itself, but the idea of a computer attending college, so I'll let it slide on that note, too.)
I kinda want to see a series based on this concept.

very interesting; I bet if Sena ever saw 3rd Birthday he'd strangle the guy who wrote it.

Some interesting technological ideas and I can see a few of them being a reality by 2020, in particular, the ones involving advertising (active wall posters, etc). Most of the others, though, would take a few more years past 2020 to develop. Still, was a neat short.

I don't really see any of this being possible in 2020, so they probably should have set it a decade or two later, or just said in the "semi-distant future".
Plus, the entire concept of a computer attending school has always seemed ridiculous to me. Why would a computer have to learn anything it could simply access from the internet? And if this future is so advanced, why is the girl's father dying of a heart condition in 5 years? He can't get even a heart transplant or an artificial heart? I thought this was the future!

We're still waiting for our flying cars! And not that plane that drives but a car that flies!
