Even though I'm a pretty big K-On fan and have bought plenty of figures and merchandise, there are just some things that I just go "WTF?" Then I realize, Japan can make merchandise out of anything, so it then doesn't surprise me.
It is pretty creepy though. If I could stand it, the pieces would be nice to hang on a wall to creep out visitors to my home. haha.

I know K-On makes everything sell, but that's really the wrong choice for these things. How about a set of the Higurashi girls? Rena staring at you all the time would be right in character.

This isn't new, they've had One Piece ones out for a while. I saw a bunch of them in the store the other week and they scared the crap out of me - especially because Luffy had this manic grin.
