Well, I'm pleased to hear the good review, I also liked Bottle Fairy. But taking off points for the swimsuits... that was hardly fanservice, I did not consider it to be in the least.

When I first checked out Bottle Fairy, I really thought that I was watching a show aimed at children and the first 2 episodes that I watched didn't change my perception. Then I found out more information about this series and was surprised to find out that the series was actually aimed at adult males and has a bit of loli fan-service in there as well . For some reason, I don't think this series will be marketed towards that crowd in the U.S. and be profitable .
Anyway, besides that, I've only seen the first 2 episodes on fansub and think its fun and completely mindless entertainment and really feels kind of like an "Azumanga Daioh light," which is currently my favorite anime series. So far, Bottle Fairy seems like a series that one can turn off his/her brain almost completely and still understand and enjoy it .
This title was really something that I didn't expect to be licensed at all and I was really surprised that Geneon licensed it, but I guess I shouldn't be that surprised since they did license A Little Snow Fairy Sugar. Personally, I don't expect this series to sell that well in the U.S., but I hope that it does so that more series like this will be licensed. I really enjoy cutesy anime and there is absolutely no question that I'll be picking this up .

I've been considering getting this series, and now this review has convinced me to get it.
Which is bad news for my wallet.

Ahh, Bottle Fairy. One of those shows that gives you a warm, fuzzy feeling just thinking about it.

I find it alarming that this and Ichigo Marshmallow have both been licensed in the US.
I can handle/understand these shows being marketed in Japan. The culture is just... well, different, there. But the US... I dunno, it feels kind of off-limits to me. I wouldn't have thought any company would touch it. How are they marketing these shows, anyway?
Anyway, I watched this show being forewarned and went in with the Azumanga mentality, and I wasn't disappointed. Hororo reminded me a bunch of Osaka, but my favourite character was probably Sarara... don't remember why. I just remember finding what she did was a buttload more funny than the other three.
