Well, you're entitled to your opinion. But, assuming that this movie actually gets made, I'll be buying it as soon as it's available.

Once again, American fans give new life to a dead series. I wonder what the movie will be about, since the TV series had a pretty definative ending?

The manga is still running in Japan, but it seems to be drawing to it's conclusion.
I would guess a movie version of Trigun would be a remake of the basic story, like the different versions of X and Utena, rather than a continuation from the tv series.

I certainly hope not.
I don't hope it'll be a sequel either, but I pray for a maneuver much like Bebop's. Although I do not know how the manga turned out after the point where the series died off, I assume it wouldn't be too impossible to make a sort of side story or even a prequel. I wouldn't mind seeing more of the exciting universe of Trigun if they made it right... (considering I was very disappointed with Advent Children, I would say that a sequel to the series would be disastrous).
I feel that it's not very probable, but... I'm still hoping for the best.

Interesting! I wonder, though, how ANN knows what these magazines (or any others, for that matter) will publish?

I'm so exstatic about this!
I never thought I'd see the day! *tearful happiness*
If anyone's read the manga, pm me. I wanna know if there's any manga material not shown in the anime that they might make this movie out of.

My repsonse:
Ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff(explicative deleted).
Not sure if that was a good of bad cursing.
Well, is it going to continue the series or take something from the manga. I do hear it's going to end in Japan soon. Now I loved the series, but the manga is jsut so much better.

I can't wait.
I've always loved Trigun, and I don't care if it is a retelling or an extension.

wow~ Never expected this to happen, really... If I heard about this when I was in 8th grade, I would be doin' flips right now, but now, I have different obsessments (*cough*FFVII *cough*) well, imagine that, I'll be a senior in highschool the time it comes out in Japan. and then it'll be like 6 months until it's dubbed and released in the states. *sigh* well, let's hope it doesn't take that long (sad, just a two month wait for Advent Children is killing me ~_~)
I'm excited to hear about this news though!

this is weird though... I thought that TRIGUN wasn't popular back in JAPAN?
Someone at AoD speculated that this might be US funded... that'd be pretty neat...
so we'd have THIS AND the HIGHLANDER movie

Good news, and hopefully if it does well they'll give Trigun the "Helsing treatment" and do a new TV series that follows the manga closer.

Personally, I was very fond of Kuroda's writing for the series...
He had some great insight and lots of emotion
