Nah. They seem to be playing the dub. I saw it at their Otakon screening. The dub was good, so no worries.

Yes, this intrigues me too. But I wonder, ANN lists the running time as 25 minutes--is that really enough time for the story to develop and fully conclude? I mean, the premise of the film seems simple enough, but can it really do justice to the characters and plot in less than half an hour? Guess I'll have to watch it to find out....

Kakurenbo is supposed to be a short film, so I would say it should be good, looking at the awards its won. (I know awards are not everything.)

Personally, I think awards are over rated. To me only way you know if it's going to be good without having to watch it is asking friends or talking to average joe's on the net.

Well if you're talking about like Kakurenbo being in Japanese then I highly doubt it will be because it would take to much time to translate it all from Japanese in the short amount of time Adult Swim has. Besides I read it'll have the dubbed version on DVD so it's most likely that Adult Swim will be playing the dubbed version. Can;t wait. |

The DVD's already out. Well except where I live. BTW the first Kakurenbo contest is going on at the Kakurenbo website. It's called "Find Sorincha" and it's pretty easy: if you win you can enter for a chance to win the DVD(5 runner ups). If you get first or something you get the DVD and a few other anime DVDs.
