hey,

Most of you'll probably find this funneh, but I found this place the most appropriate to ask such a thing.

Well, I have this story in my head which I really would like to see it in manga. The problem is, my drawing skills (unfornately) are close to pathetic. Now you say, 'write it'.. a last resort idea as the story I have can't be well expressed throu words.

So, what do you guys suggest me to do?
As for me, I came up with these hypothesis:
- Write it.
- Try to improve my drawing skills [which is gonna be difficult since I'm ambidextrous so I don't control well any hand] and then try to draw it by my own.
- Try to get someone who'll draw it for me like a manga artist.

And sorry for my english. I know it sucks.
Thanks in advance.

I would suggest commisioning someone else to do the artwork, while writing it yourself. American-published manga is becoming more common these days, and typically American comics have writer/artist partnerships anyway. You also might want to look into your prospects for publication, as its very difficult to get a manga published outside of Japan (Tokyopop is your best chance).

If you aren't that skilled at writing things, try taking some creative writing classes. Smile It a great way to improve and brainstorm.

If you can't take a class, try writing short stories in a notebook for a while and get them critiqued.

Writing shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks.

TokyoPop said if you were good enough with writing and wrote down your story and sent it to them they'd read it. If it's good enough, they'd find an artist or something. It's on their Tahukai page somewhere.
