Heh. I nearly spit out the Snapple I was drinking when I read this.

This again, this article may very well be true. I mean, I wouldn't put it past Bruckheimer, considering some of the crap he's produced in the past...

As funny as this is, I know they couldn't find women with the same proportions as the girls in the anime.

Imagine finding a woman like Kirika... Shocked

LMAO.

It will be unique if they do pull it off though, who knows, might be a success...

Only Jerry Bruckheimer could handle a production this BIG. And would it be a Michael Bay film? Talk about your Armageddon 2; or is that 2 Armageddons? Very Happy

When I saw this, I wanted to cry. I happen to be a big fan of Jerry Bruckheimer, but if he's trying to end his career in a hurry, this would be a good way to do it.

I mean, (and I'm probably going to catch hell for this) I got to see the first ep of Eiken this past week. I must say that it is some of the wierdest stuff I have ever seen. I mean, it defies comprehension and logic. It's borderline porn, plain and simple. Except I've been so numbed to the sexually obscene by my university's anime club that I was somewhat intrigued and want to see the rest. (pray for me)

But seriously, listen to what the man said. "Taken in by the natural beauty and complexity of the story"? I seriously doubt it was the story, Jerry. "Looking for women proportioned roughly similar to the characters in the anime"? I wanna see him pull that off without costumes. "The bosoms of moviegoers worldwide"? Oh, come on, Jerry. Seriously. And he gets 47 million to pull this off? I am DEFINITELY going to be watching this one.

This is 99.99% most likely an April Fool's Prank, because I mean, why would Jerry Bruckheimer wanted to do a live action anime on that, when there are TONS of better ones he could use. Plus, there's no source for this info, so you know it has to be a prank.

Plus, it's April 1st, and ANN (not to mention everyone) always does something like this. (Although I liked "Cookie-san no Newsroom" the best).
