Awesome. Escaflowne is by far my favorite Anime, and I'm glad to see the movie on Adult Swim.
If the ratings for the movie go over well, do you think we'll be seeing AS pick up the 26-ep series? I know that FoxKids had it, way way back... what was it, five, six years ago? Do they still have the airing rights to it?
The Escaflowne series would be perfect for Adult Swim. Lots of action and weird stuff, plus there would be almost no editing, as the blood is generally minimal, and the swearing is about what you can find on NBC now.

This is all great news. I always thought that Escaflowne: The Movie would be a great fit for AS. I would prefer to see the series on Toonami, if only because that block is in need of better shows. My question is: where does this all leave Full Metal Alchemist? Will it be pushed off into the graveyard hours like Case Closed before it?

Funi has only got 26 episodes done for the block. Once those 26 episodes are run, the series will be put on hiatus for a while. It's speculated the remaining episodes will be aired sometime at the end of the year.

I just knew s-CRY-ed would make it to the real Adult Swim the moment it was put on Adult Swim on Demand. And I just realized that Funimation will need time to dub all of FMA, and that fairly soon I'll be waiting...I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up for seeing the whole thing in one run.

SWEET! I only have the S-cry-ed manga and I really want to see the anime (I've heard it's A WHOLE LOT better) and I've already seen up to the 3rd Inuyasha movie and prefer it subbed. seen metropolis (LOVE the music, especialy the jazzy one during the chace in the cart and the "fire fighter robots" scene.) Seen escaflone movie (prefer series) I really wanted to see the 2nd GSG movie. It was in theaters here, but it was too far away and only at one theater (which is the same one Steamboy is being shown at now...>.<) I've been collecting Samurai Champloo, kick ass seires. I'veonly heard of Parania Agent, don't know much else beyond the name and the boy with the hat that covers his face.

Seems someone hasn't looked hard enough. It's been airing on Toonami for weeks now. With encores on Fridays.

Yes indeed to both. I just Samurai Champloo Vol 1 today and I loved it. I can wait to check out the rest of the series. Then there the new Inu Yasha and GitS.

That's a downer about FMA. I'd really hate to be put on hold for that series. Especially since the DVD releases themseleves are a couple of months apart. Are they going to release the rest of the eps. when they air 2nd Gig?

Great linup..can't wait..I don't know if they showed Samurai Champloo before on [adult swim] but hearing a bit about it does anyone think it will be the next bebop..full of style and substance?
Seeing how they compare it to Bebop I wouldn't be suprised..
