What. 20th Century Boys is in the top 10? Think this is a first for Urasawa.

Happy that people are finally starting to read/buy Urasawa. After reading Monster so many years ago, I've been trying to hand Urasawa stuff to anyone I can... even people who normally aren't into manga -- and they totally dig it.

Viz (or Vertical? Very Happy) needs to pick up Billy Bat. It started off really weirdly, but once it picked up, it turned into another winner Very Happy

Seeing Skip Beat and in particular 20th CB on this list makes me happy.

What? I felt the complete opposite. The first two volumes were great but after that it became a mess. (Though I have only read 5 volumes) Personally, I am not foolish enough to test readers' patience for that long.

Well, I guess what I really meant was the part when it moves over to the (not so) random historical encounters with Jesus and Judas, the Sengoku Era, etc., moreso than Kevin's mishaps in Japan. Once it hit the 1960's with JFK and Oswald, I was pretty hooked.

I can totally understand not testing the readers' patience though. The historical stuff lasts for quite awhile before we get back to Kevin... but even Monster and 20th Century Boys get away from the main character(s) for quite a bit until the new arc somehow tied back to him. Pretty much the same thing with Billy Bat.

You impress me with your lurking ability, Ed Very Happy

Could always bring over his older stuff Razz Master Keaton is finally being printed in Japan again... after a long debate about the true author. Yawara is good too... but sports + old does not equal sales in America, especially for a 29 volume series. Both are Shogakukan though, so I know we'll never see them.

At the Viz panel at NYCC, someone asked about it during the Q&A. Viz said someone else had it. Judging by Ed's response, it's not Vertical, so the logical conclusion would be it's Kodansha Comics. Though IF they'll actually release it is another story. I remember hearing something similar about Vinland Saga a few years ago and that never materialized.

GREAT to see Skip Beat! at the number 3 spot this week. My copy came from Amazon a few weeks ago, so I was wondering when its official release date was.

Same here. I discovered 20th Century Boys about a year ago, after falling in love with the anime of Monster.

Cannot wait to own all of it!

Also thrilled to see the new Negima! and Kamisama Kiss.
