What do people think of Hellsing Manga, I haven't read it yet but I am getting it sooner or later... whenever it arives from Amizon . I have seen both Hellsing Anime in Japanese Sub and Eng Dub. So I am a big fan of Hellsing. Give me your opinion of the manga over the anime. I know the general story so tell me the differences too.

Get them. The manga outdoes the anime completely. And as for differences, egads, War & Peace would be easier to type out. For a few episodes, and maybe one or two later on, there are similarities, but after the first couple of DVDs the anime takes a different path and is a separate storyline all in it's own.
The primary difference is that in the manga the main adversary is a group of still loyal nazi party memebers hiding out in South America, headed by an insane SS Major that was doing paranormal research into the undead. Most of which are the undead themselves. Oh, and the Major has a major hard-on for Alucard ( no pun intended ).
I've gotten as far a issue # five in the US releases, and the fecal matter has just hit the rotating oscillator in a big way. It ranks as one of the favorite series on my book shelves.

The Hellsing manga is excellent. A lot better than the anime. So many things happen in the manga that dont happen in the show and the things in the show that are from the manga are done so much better in the manga.
It is done really well. There are also many sweet foes that Arucard faces in the manga that were never in the anime. Mainly due to the main villains being Nazi's.
It is one of my favorite ones that I am currently reading, so I suggest you definetly buy it.

Honestly, I hated the Hellsing anime, especially the ending, but the manga is excellent. So far I've read up to volume 5, and it outdoes the anime by far. My only complaint is the usual - too expensvie.

The Hellsing story is pretty weak, but the manga has a ferocity to it, and such energy that, like the movies of Ryuhei Kitamura, more than make up for its short comings.

*sigh* No Porco I haven't. This is the second Dark Horse manga release (Trigun Maximum) that has been delayed. I have tried several places too, Waldenbooks, Borders, and Media Play. No luck.

It's an admirable buy because of the art and story
well-worth the money i spent on it. I just wish it would come out sooner.

Hellsing is good, campy fun. I don't exacally run out to pick it up, but the stories are quite entertaining with style to spare.

Hellsing is a great manga. At first I thought I wouldn't like it, since I'm not all into horror, but I read it and I was very pleased. The art is nice, and despite it being a horror title there are some instances of comedy also.
