Will Niconico be out of beta by then? If not this is a terrible waste of resources to stream it in 360p.

Not only that, but Niconico's video player sucks. I can't watch anything without having to pause so it can buffer and they only allow buffering for UtaPri and Blood-C

Yeah. It'll also be great to have some of the Bang Zoom! cast from Fate/stay night series to reclaim some of their roles.

That's NicoNico's model. First episodes tend to stay up, from what I've seen, but otherwise it's the opposite of Crunchyroll's model.

Crunchyroll: First week premium only, after that open to all
NicoNico: First week open to all, after that premium only

I didn't read the article (I read the press release instead), but this is totally a "screw you" to fansubbers. There is no way that fansubs can get their subs out in real-time, which is the only way they can beat NN's.

Of course, they'll likely be ripping the streams and releasing them for people who can't stream/miss episodes, but...

It is good that it is being simulcasted, but the vid quality at NN is worse than anime at Hulu (and that is really saying something.) Can the videos full-screen there yet or do you still have to do it the round about way changing browser settings? Or I guess it could be considered a marketing strategy, watch it free in 16 bit super punchout! cutscene resolution and then later buy the blu ray......

I wish it was on Crunchyroll because I don't really want to make an account at another video streaming site. But because I'm such a big Fate fan I'll probably break down and do it anyways... Confused

I hope this is like Blue Exorcist, where multiple streaming services are allowed to stream the show, because I'd rather not watch this in 360p.

Until NicoNico changes something, there is a rather easy way to watch their videos in true fullscreen. Unfortunately, that same method also makes it easy to pirate their streams, so I can't (or won't) mention any details.

Hopefully if they fix that "problem", they will also offer a true full screen viewing mode at the same time.

Sorry, but I am having a hard time felling sorry for the fansubbers. People turned to them in the past because companies weren't making shows available/accessible to people outside Japan. But now that they are finally getting the message and starting to change that you complain about it? Rolling Eyes
