That's somewhat disappointing, really. I saw a good number of other entries that I liked a lot more.

Cowboy boots, stars, bikini top, red white and blue... all it's missing is blonde hair, DDD size breasts, and give her two revolvers for it to be the perfect likeness of the average American woman. Or at least according to G Gundam.

I'm glad this was only for fun and not for the eventual packaging, if and when the English version gets released. she looks a bit like Wonder Woman's niece, if she had one, and I hate high heels. Did you know that the high heel shoe was invented by a man what hated women? He loved to see them suffer for fashion.

Am I the only one that thought this outfit makes Miku look like some sort of football cheerleader?

Nope, and you might have unearthed a bit of plagiarism there too. Surprisingly this was not mentioned at Crypton's Hatsune Miku Facebook site, not one bit, at least not at time of this posting.

Looks like Miku cosplaying as some garish USAian stereotype. I hope such a design won't actually be used.
Then again, what kind of result could one expect from a contradiction in terms like "Hatsune Miku US version"? |

What exactly is the point of this? Are they looking for ways to Americanize Miku so that she can appeal to more people in the United States?
This is almost as bad as the Toyota version: |

That's the Cowboys Cheerleaders costume alright, stars and all. If anyone should try to market this image it would be a real surprise if we didn't see legal action from the Cowboys shortly after. They are protective of their trademarks.

I live in Dallas, lol...
it was exactly what I thought the instant I saw her as well but it does look cowgirl-ish, they should just work on the colors |

Jerrah might have a little word with "exiled_artist" after he sees this. And no, this isn't as bad as the first Toyota Miku. That abomination should be erased of our memories, by now. |

At the very least, it's another PR campaign. This contest drums up interest in artists, including those who weren't initially interested in Vocaloids. They, in turn, get other people on the fringe and all of a sudden, your potential buyer pool goes up. Plus, the cost of doing something like this is ridiculously low. |

I kind of wish this won:
http://piapro.jp/t/zkUn It's American styled without being too blatant. |
