Absolutely gorgeous
Wish there was a shot where we could see more of her plug suit, though. |

I agree. I wish we could see the entire outfit. For you crafty people out there - is her face Photoshopped or is that make-up? It looks great! |

Some of these daily cosplay pics are kinda bad.
This is not one of them. Kudos to this cosplayer. I would love to see more. |

Yeah, so we all can see more of the skin-tight form-fitting plugsuit, ne? (Needs more reddish eyes....) |

You're right, She really did her homework for designing her costume. One of my biggest gripes about other Evangelion costumes is that they don't have enough padding and not enough research. Her make-up is too pale for me though. It kinda reminded me Geisha make-up. Wig/hair color looked natural which I liked. I would like to see rest of the picture. I want to say that costume is an good example of quality work that people should look up to, but I can't judge solely it by the current picture. Good costume and make up makes the wearer looks like he or she actually came from that anime universe. Even though it has tiny flaws, the cosplayer nailed it right. Oh You guys should see this. This is a stage costume used in Legend of Galactic Heroes Musical. This is what I call digging deep into characters. Just look at the fabric and embroidery. The protagonist costume looks and feels like imperial prince who commands a million men. He doesn't have to look exactly like a cartoon. |

Combo. As cosplayers we try our hardest to get makeup to look perfect but we still have uneven skin levels and pores. PS helps smooth out the surface and blend our 'hard' stage makeup. That's the kind where you made purposeful deeper lines to accent cheekbones and flatten noses. Looks silly in real life but it shows up better in photos. If you look on her nose, there's a gloss shine on the edge. She used Ben Nye final seal but forgot to PhotoReady powder her nose before the shot. Haha, I've had that happen to me a few times so I carry the powder religiously. I know lots of people are like on DA are like "PS is cheating!!" but hey, wouldn't a face full of small bumps of acne that have been covered up to the best ability with makeup kinda ruin the photo since everything else is perfect? At least it's better coscure where 80% PS picture is considered okay. Why of course you have eyes 3 times the size of a normal human. And yes, your legs are exactly the length of CLAMP's noodle people. Anyway, here's her cosplay.com page: http://www.cosplay.com/gallery/a25820/ You can see full body shots in it. The Asuka is her twin sister and she was the one that made the suits. Ackson filmed the twins: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1e5jISefj_E&feature=related They appear at 2:06 and then throughout the rest of the end. Nice HD steady cam vids. Also: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsUFoKt3P8Y at 2:06 as well but that's the only time in that video. |

Yikes, this is amazingly close to what I think Rei would look like in real life.
NYCC 2009? Crud, I only started running Eva panels at NYCC 2010, and I didn't see her there (in this costume at least). |

I thought as much. It doesn't look too overboard in this pic (there are definitely a few in her cosplay.com gallery that made me think twice) but I'm okay with this pic.
Thank you, oh so very much, for the link. Not that I secretly wanted to see full body shots of girls in skin tight clothing or anything (that's just bonus), but the link provided a pleasant surprise in that the twins also cosplayed as Tatiana and Allister from Last Exile. I must admit to being a bit partial to Tatiana, and I'm glad to get a chance to see her done justice by a cosplayer. And nice Clover cosplay too.
Props to her sister, especially if she also created those awesome Last Exile flight suits. If only all cosplayers had access to these sorts of crazy skills. |

Beautiful. She and her sister are both very good. I don't recall seeing either of them in Daily Cosplay before but I hope we see them more often in the future. The detail on the plugsuits is impressive. Somebody has some serious fabrication skills.
